Is it possible to add more icon slot to the interface?

Does anyone know if it's possible to add more icon slot onto the game interface? If so, how?

Um, all I know is that you can alter the actual Warcraft files in the form of a mod to change the interface... no clue how it's done, but pretty sure it can be done.

You can always make a double-paged unit or building and I think that it could be made to have additional back slot.
However, you can't add additional place!

sorry, I think my question wasn't clear enough, I was talking about the hero game interface icon shown at the upleft corner, where are only 7 slots at maximum, but is it possible to add more?
