A few days ago I watched the game where Fortitude (human) played against an Orc. (maybe it was soin) I was happy when he chose the Bloodmage as the first Hero, because it is finally some change. Besides his Mana Drain is a good spell against FS/TC. But it turned out the spell was totaly useless in a fight: Because of ensnare.
Since then I cannot stop thinking about the spell.
Raiders are already good units. They are fast, strong against building and can catch units (which includes bringing air units to the ground). They can even stop repair. Nets cannot be dispelled. (I found this very good thread about raider nets: Raider Nets : WC3)
Why can they additionally cancel channeling spells?
This makes the few channelling spells in the game (and dont forget that many of them are lvl 6. ultimates) pretty much useless against a good orc player. If it is important in a matchup to interrupt channeling spell, Orcs already have hex or stomp.
I would like to hear your opinion.
