Iron Empire Fenris Warbot

This bundle is marked as pending. It has not been reviewed by a staff member yet.
Description
Fenris Warbots are the results of robotic research of the Empire. Initially utilized as support and search units, these units are now equipped with sonic launchers and can bombard enemies from afar.
Made from the timber wolf model a with lots of edits to animations and meshes. Custom meshes were made in Milkshape3D and the model was edited with the help of War3Model Editor, RMS and TRMS as well as Oinkerwinkle tools.
This model is based on the unit from UMW (like most of my most recent uploads) and it used the venerated model Mech Wolf. I just wanted to make my own version so it can look proper along other models of that style.
Versions
1st February 2026 - Initial upload
6th April 2026 - Added classic textures only variant

Love its lamp-eye and steel jaws with teeth, I also like the armored fenders above the legs, roket launchers and a set of animations. Nice design, I'd say my second favorite from Frank after Yamato Buzzsaw Wheel.

By the way, is there a living creature inside the armor? Asking just because it has some bloodsplats in 'Death'.

It's a robot.
The bloodsput is made to look like oil. 😅

Release the hounds! Wait, I'm a cat...

We always have a lack of doggos around here but not wolves.

To think this was made from a Timber Wolf alone just shows how much time, dedication and love was put into the model.

Well done.
Wow, that means a lot thank you. :)
I just wanted to make sure that I had fun with making the model.
I did probably an unwise decision time wise to mirror the attack animations so the model is more coherent and symmetrical.

Great stuff as always, perfect melee unit for my post-apo project.

Big thanks for adding variant with pre1.29 textures. I've already managed to find solution on how to make models using TC textures from 1.29 work on 1.28 without edeiting them, but having classic textures version always spares few minutes and bytes. (I play Warcraft on my 2010 notebook that I bought for work and studying, I afraid this ancient machine could not handle the reforged client)

You can probably play the Reforged client with that if you use SD graphics only.

It still weighs something like ~30gb vs ~4gb of 1.28. Maybe I'll be enough motivated to get it after I finish all the good custom campaigns and mods that run on 1.24-28 or when I buy myself a proper gaming PC, to play more recent chapters of Arkain and other stuff that requires newer version. :peasant-grin:
