BUT, Are the icons ubersplats or 2d planes with textures?

If so what is the easiest way to go about making them/ what format?

I think that ltgh want to keep it secret but just wait till they do an unprotected

Yeah i think they will,but they will also remove the key features such as the inventory system.

I did not know systems using ubersplats existed
Anyway, try looking on the similar systems in the spell section to get your answers.

Ah confidentiality, Yes i understand... Quite a common requirement with anything invented i suppose..

(Currently Patent pending for US patent)
My lawyer told me its best not to release patent numbers or filing dates, so there will be no proof im afraid.
