Invasion of Dalaran v1.0

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
A map made by my friend Flammenwaffle, I have his permission to upload it. The map is protected to make it smaller and faster to load on bnet.

The Burning Legion, a vast army of innumerable atrocities that seeks only to destroy and corrupt the justice of the world. Thrice have they invaded Azeroth and thrice were they beaten back; Azeroth's history is bathed and bleached in the Legion's influence...yet it remains the one planet that they have yet failed to conquer. It is thus that they pursue in their power and domination, their sole inspiration for the fourth invasion...beginning with Dalaran, their hopes lie within making this the final struggle for control over Azeroth. The question is...will you be the one to bring it to them or will you be the very one to tear it, once more, from their grasp?

Well...

1. It's too big for BNet! Try to reduce size.
2. This isn't a really good AoS... as APproject said, you can easy attack enemy base without killing creeps or towers on the normal lines. I didn't like the terrain, because its lifeless. Last but not least, there is hardly anything that differs it from other AoS-Type Maps.
3. Description is lacking.

My Rating: 2/5, it's Bug-free and not lagging but thats the only good point for me -.-

You people need to stop thinking that every AOS has to be the same. That's what makes dota 'clones'. Maybe the creator wanted the players to be able to directly attack the base? By the looks of it, that picture posted by APproject shows that they are used as shortcuts or a place to hide. Unless you can get the your creeps to follow you down those pathways, the extra lanes are a good idea. They allow for 'Ganks', hiding from the enemy's heros or just plain getaway/shortcuts for players.

Im not thinking that every AoS has to be the same. I've said there's hardy anything that DIFFERS it from other AoS. There are really many AoS-Type maps but only a few of them are really good. This one is not for me and that's it.

The problem is, that many AoS ARE copies of DotA. The people are seeing DotA as the perfect AoS and are using it as Inspiration. That's why I think people should make some nice ingame features, that DotA doesn't has.

For example:

Netherland Conflict - Just destroy enemies base? No way! CTF-system is really nice here.

or

Nightelves Assault - An AoS with 3 options to win: destroy base, capture the flag or hero arena without creeps).

I want AoS that are different from other ones through different gaming systems. This is not and that's the reason for my rating. But remember: Any AoS can be made better. So keep updating your maps and use the tips and advices of other members ;)

That may be an intended part of the gameplay. It is different to DotA in that respect, but I do agree with you on the other points.

1. Thx.
2. I don't think so. This un-defended lines are useless. I played it with friends and we thought, these lines could be good for heroe-fight but it wasn't. Just level up in the mid-lanes and then you're strong enough to break through the side of the base. If you're only on the side, you're heroes are weak against these heroes, who leveled up fast in the creep-lines. The balance might be a problem here. You're right that DotA hasn't such lines. But if they're useless, this map is not better than any other AoS, just easier because you can use a faster way to destroy enemy base.
