In the object editor, a unit can have Missile (Splash), Artillery or Instant as their weapontype. How do I do to make an instant Area-of-effect attack?
Siege engine does not have an instant AOE attack. The game completely ignores all the AOE damage fields unless the weapon type is either missile (splash) or artillery. You can't make an instant AOE attack unless you trigger the AOE damage.
I'm pretty sure you can make it near instant by setting the projectile speed to a ridiculously high number.
A siege tank in my map has a projectile speed of around 2000 and it's near instant (because the range is similar). Just take your maximum range and plop that into your projectile speed and take it from there.
