Increase the Mutability of Tyranids

Due to the mutability of Tyranids, perhaps the number of options should be increased. The following is a new list for the Tyranids. Note that there would not actually be that many units. The weapon-symbiotes would be added as abilities that affect the attack of towers. For example, a Venom Cannon would be an ability that increases range. Other possibilities include adding synapse or biomorph enhancements.

Now that I think of it, having a selection biomorph enhancements might be more Tyranid-like than having a selection of weapons.

Possibilities for weapons:

Mutable Tyranids will start with 400 range and piercing damage. Hive Tyrant always has chaos damage.

Venom Cannon – *4 range; chaos
Barbed Strangler – *2 range; increases splash radius; magic
Deathspitter – *2 range; basic upgrade; magic
Fleshborer – *2 range; +50% damage; pierce
Devourer – *2 range; shoots 2 projectiles at once; -25% damage; pierce
Spinefists – *2 range; -33% cooldown; pierce

Scything Talons – -67% cooldown; normal
Rending Claws – ignores armour; normal
Lash Whip – adds paralyze; magic
Crushing Claws – adds critical strike; siege

Now I hate my suggestion, so I am going to make it better with the hero.

The hero would be the Dominatrix. Rather than upgrading the Tyranids' weapons like Space Marines, the Dominatrix generates bio-mass that can be used to grow weapons on the towers. One ability grows close combat weapons and the other grows ranged ones.

Its third ability is Warp Blast. It deals a set amount of damage and its splash radius is increased by levels.

Its ultimate is Without Number. It's basically a stampede of gaunts.

yea an upgrade web for tyranids would be cool, with the gaunt upgrades perfectly described, and hormagaunt, genestealer and rippers good ravener is also good
hive tyrant is also good and carnifex & warriors need lots of mutability but we have no warriors yet they should be medium in everything, and where is the dominatrix mentioned as a unit, i think the hive tyrant and broodlord could be heros!
gargoyl imutable, good, and so is zoanthrope, but where is biovore??? not homing attacks, but big range and splash! there should also be an upgrade building for some of the upgrades, a lot of the upgrades i can't think of any way they would be useful in a TD o_O i think they should have an upgrade building for all the other teams too, armoury equipment, get back to ya on this

Its not like only tyranids have so many optins.
Spacemarines and imperial guard also have many options.

When I starte to play this TD I haven t read the Codizes before and I thought cool game cause i knew wh40k fom wh40k Choas Gate.
(cool old game)

But last year I read my first Codex and realised there could be more done in that map and I had plenty of senseless ideras :D

So I d say the two mapmakers, ralle and bloodletter, should read at least the basic starter rulebook and then at least the Codiezes from the races in the game.(I still misss inquisition :()

I could scann them and send them to you but I don t think you would understand them in german :p

Wow, how did I forget about biovores? Perhaps it's because I don't like them and ignore them completely when thinking about my army. :p

Mabe longest ranged, but they never hit..
Uh, a 1,5 meter big spermaton is flying towards my units and... missed and explodes in neverland.
Its same with motars and basilisks, they simple don t rock the game.
Biovores are the less played units I might have ever seen, but for tyranids I miss the tyranid warriors, so cool units, synapse creatures acid canons and those nice claws and 2or 3 life points....

Ive only seen once a artilary weapon make a direct hit in the table top and it killed 7 of my karskins and damadhed my komissar Gaunt.

I use biovores all the time!
and theres a 1 in 6 or 1 in 3 (depends on the die) chance of it having a direct hit!
also you could upgrade it so that it has bio acid spore mines which have bonus damage against vehicles! spore mines rule!
