hello everyone i'm completely inexperienced with editor but i want to learn to use it. so i recently tried to import models in a map i started making and after i followed all steps, editor was unable to load model. here is what i exactly done,to make you easier to find out what i did wrong:
1 i downloaded and extracted "sipahi" model
2 i imported both, model and skin to my map and i set skin's path arabian marauder.blp
Paths
Import the skins to the following paths:
Arabian Marauder.blp
3 when i tried to place a unit it becomes black and green square with text below: "could not load file: war3mapimported..."
help i have no clue what i could have done wrong

You need to save your map first.

3 when i tried to place a unit it becomes black and green square with text below: "could not load file: war3mapimported..."

same happens when i save map and load it again

hey i succeeded somehow with this, now sipahi model works excellent.
but then i tried with another model and guess what it doesn't work :D first problem is that i don't have art-model file- portrait sector. so i cannot change unit's portrait (not sure if it automatically changes with model, but i also got portrait file when i downloaded model)
and the second problem is like before. black-green square with text "could not load file: war3mapimported..."
Paths
# Import the skins to the following paths: None

paths are 'none' so i didn't change file path and there are no skins with model

so where can i be wrong i am becoming nervous ! :D

1) Imported both the unit and the portrait.

2) Removed the ''war3mapImported'' from both import paths.

3) Saved the map.

4) Applied the model to the Peasant.

thanks i guess i was wrong with saving, i saved and loaded on the end not before applying. but still 3/4 models worked which i tested for now.

I always added the model, placed it in the editor, then saved, closed WE re-opened it, and it usually worked for me. o_O
