Hi, i'm importing some models and icons.
Just one problem.
I imported the icons and models. I changed path to the correct path. Then i closed world editor. When i opened the world editor again. I checked the icons. worked. Then i checked the models. it didn't work. Is there anything i did wrong. I imported the icons to ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNiconname.blp
Then i imported the models to iconname.mdx. I removed war3mapimported too.

Anything i'm doing wrong???

Usualy, you get 2 files when downloading a model:
1. The Texture (zzz.BLP)
2. The Model (zzz.MDX/MDL)

You have ti use the custom path only for de first file (Wich is the texture file, .blp)
If you have set the custom path the same for both files, i guess that's the problem.

Not for me. I have downloaded tons of models from lots of sites, and i used them in more then 2-3 maps. The only path i had to change was for the .BLP file, ALWAYS, with no exception.
I really think the problem is because you change the path of the .MDX file.

i'm not talking about icons.
It seems you don't understand what i'm trying to say.
I'll repeat once again:
A default model consists of 2 files:
the texture (BLP)
the model (MDX)
if you change the path for the model file (MDX) it won't work. You only have to use the custom path provided for the BLP file.
Just try to do this.

I have a similar problem. The Model 'seem' fine. but show as checkered boxes in the editor. After reloading the Editor I got, Could not load (texture file) It lists the correct path that is given here by the model's creator.

in game the models don't even exist.

My Problem is that the .mdx has loaded.
The .blp will not. And I copy/pasted the path file to ensure there is no typo. This has occured for two seperate unit approved on this site.
