I'm making a campian I can do the terrans and stuff but I'm not realy good with triggers. So I need somone that well good with triggers and debug I have the story script ready you help me do this you'll get credit in it for help anyone intersed?

need a team I have the story I've made most of the heros and I good with terran but I suck at triggers and debug anyone want to join in?

The Campian is Call Mario and Friends Weird Adventures it is a funny campian like
Joe's Quest. Mario starts out in his world and ends up going thourgh Star Craft and War Craft why well Bowser travels to them from some reason. Not going to tell anymore off it couse people might try to steal my Idea.

Sorry, but I don't think anyone's all up for stealing your idea. It's... no offense, but it's pretty terrible.

You're basically saying your campaign is a Mario/Warcraft/Starcraft crossover, which makes no sense.

Mario vs. Battlecruiser, we all know which one's going to win.

If you wrote your information in neat and proper way, people would probably be interested to join your project. But you did't do that which naturally makes people turn down your idea, posting the sentence "I do not want to leak more info because I scared people might stole my idea" is absolutely nonsense as there is plenty of map with similiar concept all around the WC3 but with minor changes.

Also, you should open the thread at Idea Factory section instead of Map Development section. Nvm, Rui would probably move it once he found out about it.

Last I checked, there was a difference between having a valid negative opinion and just flat out bashing. Guess I was wrong.

Ok, a comedic campaign, generally, I've yet to see one. Most likely because people feel that a comedy campaign is generally not that great, which is understandable.

It also sounds like you're going for "random humor." (Think something along the lines of... "ZOMG LURR FROM OMEKRON PERSEI 8 CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND ATTACKED LUIGI!!!") that kind of humor rarely (if ever) goes over well.

Not telling you to stop the campaign, just don't expect people to swoon and go crazy over it.

Tarthis, I am map moderator of this site and I was trying to help you. You already post at the wrong section which naturally could lead into thread deleted or move into recycle bin. Worst punishment could possibly lead to negative reputation or infraction if been found to repeat it.

If you want to get help, post those information as detail as possible. Infact, Archian have a pin-up topic with useful tips on how to get people to join your project.

Well... I really think an idea regarding the Mario/WarCraft III/StarCraft universes put together won't make a good campaign (Just my opinion). I know you're trying to create an unusual and humorous map, but in my opinion, a crossover like this wouldn't do too well. I think a fresh idea is required for a campaign to be great, despite the genre.

And if you're looking for help, I would be friendly to people that come around, and not respond in insults, even when someone is flaming you, and especially not when they're giving critisms. You should know that the critisms people give is major and vital source of help, because its the people's opinions that count, since well, its going to be released to the people sooner or later isn't it? Also you should listen to those with authority since they're there to help and they know a good deal to help you improve.

Well, I'm no critic or anything, so I could be wrong, but I'd figure I'd just point out my opinion.

You're unveiling a project to us, the public. We're going to criticize it where it's flawed whether you like it or not. The idea sounds very flawed to me. Yet we can't help you because you gave us no detailed information for fear of someone "stealing your idea" (which they won't, let's face it, your idea is pretty terrible). If you don't want criticism, don't show it to the public. But don't show it here and expect everyone to swoon and go crazy for it. We're going to criticize it, we're going to have very different opinions. Live with the criticism or keep the campaign to yourself.

Give out information, and right now your map sounds pretty wierd (maybe also fun if done right) but you got to give us some, none will join when your such an ego.

At the end of the day if you cannot accept critisism your never goin to make a good map, sure the idea appeals to you but u have to understand everyone likes different things and thi skind of idea is aiming at a very small audience.

Iv had countless ideas and put them to the public on ere and iv had em thrown back in my face but i dealt with it, re-made my idea to fit the audience and there! 461 downloads in not alot of time at all. Listen to peoples opinions theyll help alot, wether they are flaming or not you can learn from em

I sorry short fuse,I had map and stuff stolen from me in the past, about the story of it even if it sounds like it couldn't I can make it work I ang Rpg master when it comes to the story need for it and place setting middle end you get the point. Alot of people think my idea good even if you don't,this campian thoe was not my first popion I wanted to do an Horde campian but somone hijacked my maps and sent to battle net. Back to the real subect tell what you need to know and I'll fill in the blanks. Oh critisism I can handle it's just when people spit out their pointy little words before asking the whole story ticks me off.

I eman be mroe gentle , this plays also a role in your socialisation with the coommunity and maybe if you make friends they will help you with your project.
Like i ahev many firends taht know quite a few things about WE . 2 years ago i made a scenario map and they touth it was so stupid they woud rather play the first beta version of DOTA then palying my scenario ...
But they still helped me even if they didnt like the scenario
Be niecer to poeple who are trying to explain to you your errors and maybe youll be able to get help for your project
Now for my opinion , its not negative niether positive , its just not the type of game i would play i preffer massive multiplayer games ( 8 players maybe 10 ) and if i understood well this is a singleplayer scenario or am i wrong ?

Anyway, it doesn't matter at all about stealing ideas, look at the god damned AoS maps, they are all based on a few games early made in RoC (Reign of Chaos), and then newer and better was made over the years. Or you could take a look at spawn based maps, many of the LotR (Lord of the Rings) maps are spawn based, and only a few is unique, so just forget about the stealing ideas, its just annoying, and saying it only builds up bad reputation.

If you want an example of a well-laid-out map, look at my "Warriors of Gundra: Chaotic Civil Warfare"

Revealing as much as the map information will make people happy. Protecting a map also helps.
