Idea: Future Hero/es

I had an idea/need to post something asking if you guys plan to have extra heroes? (Fel Orc, ally/your hero, undead ect.)

I recomend that we atleast meet 1 other hero because being with one hero the whole time gets boring and reduces replay value. Here is an idea, a ranger aprentice of Sylvannas Windrunner.

Please consider getting a future hero in the project and share your thoughts.

Hmm, meeting another Hero... That would make the game more enjoyable I suppose. I like that model there Stormy. With that, I'm sure we can come up with something. We need some kind of background story about how she came about and how she became Sylvanas' apprentice.

Idea: Perhaps her mother was best friends with Sylvanas and one day, a group of enemies (maybe Bandits for instance) raided Quel'Thalas. They pillaged the villagers' homes and injured many of the townspeople, only to steal from them and raid their homes.

Eventually, the guards of Quel'Thalas run off the Bandits, and everyone remains outside, in despair about everything that they have lost. Meanwhile, the apprentice is but a child, standing next to her mother, who was mercilessly slaughtered by the Bandits. And the only valuable thing that remains her that the Bandits did not get a chance to steal is the apprentice's mother's pendant.

The apprentice takes the pendant and becomes Sylvanas' apprentice, who has sworn to avenge the child of her mother's death by teaching the apprentice everything her knows to allow the apprentice to go to the Bandit Lord and kill him herself.

i found that story quite interesting but personally, i didn't really like the model because, well it just didn't look right.
I was looking more of a shandris thing but i saw that and, well if the archer on that horse were replaced with something looking more advanced and stornger then it'd be better.
As slayer said, if the apprentice were trained by sylvannas then i doubt she'd be on a horse though (which is my point), apart from all of that, it's awesome.

With the heroine's running away, the high elves are very confused. You may choose to either look for the Mana Carts or chase after the heroine. If you chase after the heroine, you will find her covered in blood impaled into a tree with a boney arrow in a blight full glade. A small banshee floats infront of her, slowly drifting around humming,
"Soon I can return . . . Soon I shall join my master . . ."
You can choose to end her life or simply leave. If you end her life, you gain the Mother's Pendant, an item that gives increased magic regeneration in a radius around the weilder, as to make up for the loss of Mana Carts.

If you chase after the Mana Carts, you find most of them in blightfull groves with undead around them. If you defeat the undead, you gain back the mana cart. However, the last mana cart is held by a human paladain, Hurthous Azrek, a member of the broken Silver Hand. After you defeat him, he begs for mercy, offering to teach your men the arts of the paladins if you let him live. He is a level 7 human paladin with healing spells. You gain the abiltiy to train Blood Elven Warpriests, with heal and restore, a spell that restores mana to the target. However, if you go this way, you will have to face Sylvanas' Apprentice as well upon your fight with Sylvanas.

Idea: Troll Haters / Troll Friend

On my IDEA on mission 2, there is an option where you can ally the trolls, or defeat the trolls. Depending on what you do you may get different effects.
If you choose to defeat all the trolls, you gain Troll Hater. Certian heros / units cannot be gained if you are a Troll Hater, however you can only gain certian units / hero's if your a Troll Hater.
If you choose to ally the living trolls, you gain Troll Friend. Certian heros / units cannot be gained if you are a Troll Friend, however you can only gain certian units / hero's if your a Troll Friend.

Idea: Allied Tribes

During mission 2, if my idea would be used, you may choose to ally one of three tribes. The Bloodshank, the Marshclaw, or the Doomwhistle. Each has a different style (STR / AGI / INT, in that order.) These accompany you on certian missons.

Allied tribes accompany you during certian missions. They are uncontrollable, however will pester the enemies. If they have all their units destroyed, this will no longer accounter you. If you are allied with Doomshank Tribe.

Idea: Doomwhistle Tribe

Doomwhistle Tribe units are focused on effects and making you yourself do better. They will occasionly pool you and will flank the enemy if it attacks you. Doesn't start fights if it can be avvoidied. Only appears on defensive missions.

If you all wanna know, i've almost finished troll tech tree but i can make more for the three tribes if it is accepted.
I am also going to add in Stormy's idea (for abilities) so it can be tested and everyone can look at it.

Idea: Troll Haters; Orzum the Destroyer

Orzum the Destroyer is a powerfull melee sub-hero. You have control over him, but he has no units. If he dies, he is not revived on the next mission. Unable to be revived. Starts at level 4. His spells capitalize on healing himself while dealing damage, at the cost of his health initally. He has spells like Doomslash, an attack that deals damage in an AoE around him for 2% of his maximum health, or something, healing him for the the amount of targets hit. You may only gain his aid if you have killed atleast 250 trolls.

Idea: Twilight Champions

You may only gain the ability to train Twilight Champions if you are a troll hater and have killed more then 100 trolls in misson two. They are a group of paladins, using certian spells to give themselves an advantage while worsening the opponant.

Wow! Thanks for quintuple posting! You know, just to let you know, that was somewhat unnecessary. You would have only needed about 3 posts. Four posts at the most. I know that stupid character limit gets on everyone's nerves, but try not to cover a whole page next time. :D (~10 posts per page, you got 7 on this one.) Just saying.

But anyway, nice ideas! I really like the one about Orzum the Destroyer and being a "Troll Hater". The different tribes are cool too. They are like different special abilities that you can use.

we can change the course, make a cinematic so that they will plead an alliance so the trolls will help, by doing a quest

Allying the trolls will give you a quest, while using them as enemies will be easier
but allying the trolls would give the player a morale increase :D

Hmm, yeah. I do like the special abilities thing however. Perhaps there could be another way to gain them, or just have it where you start out with the special abilities at the beginning of the game.

I do agree with Stormy though now that he mentioned it. Trolls don't make very good allies for the High Elves.

I think the fact that since they had a chance at defeating Archimonde, they would go further... they also sacrificed their immortality...

High Elves are Heading near Dalaran according to most of the plans so yea Humans will be helping us we can put some small group of them at random places, perhaps in cages,
but then again why do undead need Cages.. THEY HARVEST SOULS!!

it's kind of an update to the one I made before
Save 1 out of 2 Villages is our quest right ? so how about one Village be a Human one and One be an Elf one, and we get to control the one we save.. needs polishing as the Elves should run to save their own kin.

anyways for Hero, as many of you guys like to get wild I say we have a Bandit( Yes an EBBBEL BANDIT!) as our 2nd Hero just for Mission to preferably
he was being attacked by Undead somewhere and we save him, so he says he will ally with us until we get out of that area, maybe we can have some sort of kill him mission later on too over the same map or further one.

Hmm, you're suggesting that we have the Elves ally with a Bandit? I can't completely reject that idea, since the Elves have had many odd allies when they became the Blood Elves (e.g. Naga and Illidan (who you all know rulez :D)). But I think it'll be a little too early in the story to have an odd ally.

the Odd ally can last until the end of the mission we found him, he seems odd but at the same time he is also Human for which they might think of co-operating for once in life to save their skins

but yea I just posted that cause everyone seemed to like Wild Stuff :p
best Future Hero for us in my estimation is a Ranger, you can say Sergent or Commander of the Elf Ranger Corp. thing someone mentioned earlier,
she can be with us until the Quest till Quelthalan/Dalaran ( or where ever :p)

how about the human heroes?we rescued that people(HeroFarmer)from the village that destroy.That farmer will help us in training some villager used sword and spear since they are no magic for high elves.that farmer was half breed.Half elves half human

Right. I disagree with the Tavern idea. We will find the hero somewhere along the story, but not in a Tavern.

well it not really a farmer.that farmer captured by troll when he doing farming things.he was a Human Captain that has retired for 1 year.he and his people(2 or 3 footman)were captured by the trolls.

Do we have to Explain it, can't he just be some old Military Cap'n who takes all the Weaponry and joins us
I mean come on it's not some Fire Emblem or Pokemon or some weird GBA game which requires 100s of cinematics before you can play
We also need to keep the cinematics short and sweet cause some people don't like to see them long ones and at the same time would like to know the story.

well I just happen to recall a game called Fire Emblem in which there was an Old farmer who joins you at a point who happened to be a General many years ago and left the army cause he couldn't pay much attention do his family cause of his job and his wife died
I found a good number of models that can work for the title and we can use a similar story
