Icon Moderation

It really lacks shading and proper texture material you know.
In its current state it's not approve-able.

I mean really now, how much time have you spent on making that one?
If it doesn't get approved, then I am afraid that moderation has gone beyond the rules.
What are you talking about? If it doesn't get approved then it's either because it lacks quality or you're not willing to improve yourself.
This just proves that some users don't know what moderators are for.

Why haven't you opened this in Staff Contact btw?

Please don't make pointless threads complaining about moderators doing their work correctly.
A moderator will ensure that quality is accepted into the gallery. They have already explained how your Icon can reach this level of quality that we require. Thus, use the information to improve instead of complaining about it not being approved.

If it is set to needs fix, that implies that you just need to work on it more. Maybe you're confused how to? Then check out the tutorials.

The icon looks very odd with the border it has, thus making it quite look monotone if not annoying.
I see that the moderator has good reason, a proper shading would do well for the icon, thus it's not out of the rules boundary.
All Icons must include at least one invisible Light Source for Highlights and a set of Shadows to follow it.
If I recall, this one refers to shading technique.

Cmiiw, just my opinion, feel free to bash for it.

I think you all haven't seen my icon. This is the one ->

Well, it does look quite simple. Take a look at other people's icons, they put a lot more work into them and moderators can't just accept every simple drawing you throw at them. Not referring just to you, though.

Do not make public threads like these, nothing good ever comes from it -.-

OT: So you disagree? there is no sign of shading at all, I don't see how the moderator is wrong here. You can't write the icon needs to be X good to be approved because these is no draw-o-meter that check the quality. Thus, the moderator decide if the submission is good enough for the section.

I even think the icon section is one of the more lax sections in terms of quality standards. (I will regret saying this :-/)
