It looks good. the only thing I don't like about it is how the walls look the same all the way around the entire castle. Its a little to symmetrical. It is a good idea but I think there needs to be a little more differences in the walls.

I agree with raging and hawk. I dislike the over use of the one wall tile and the pillar.

Sitting and staring at it for a while.... I do tend to favor the opinions of others - too much of the same thing over and over again. At a glance it is great - perhaps a short cinematic piece with it? But for a long look it begins to look off a bit.

The inner citadel is missing windows.... Natural light inside would have been a consideration of the builders.

The Camera angle is wrong for the image. Citadels were built on hills and bluffs and one had to look up at them - this is how the defenses worked. Looking down at it doesn't work too well - unless your a bird - ;) a ground level straight in or even a slightly upward shot would give the impression of massive defenses.

I do not envy the hard work you put into this - all of those doodads being stacked. Perhaps you can "cover up" the sameness with banners or something? Perhaps add a bit of wall vine or something?
