A team vs. team LoaVS (Life of a Vampire Slayer) + Innocents

I'd love to see a fully working version in RoC maybe an RPG thing. I have a few million- no more than a million ideas for it, I've seen half of the Buffy series.

I've played Buffy the vampire Slayer the pen and paper RPG too.

Team Breakdown
3 Teams: White Hats, Demons, The DM

White Hats (demon vampire slayers) the good guys.
They're mission is to curb the evils that keep poping up around town and maintain at least some bit of order and peace while keeping the vampires on their toes.

White Hats are generally weak although a rare few of them have dangerous powers which make them a natural target for Demons.

They are main and other important characters from the series.

Demons (vampires, demons, dragons, ugly things that go bump in the night) the bad guys.
They're mission is to kidnap peasants to feed their demonic tribes. They have a Score board that slowly counts down. Once they reach 0 they die of starvation and become a much weaker, walking skeleton. They can call for a plot twist to ressurect themselves.

The DM can make & run his/her own quests & mysteries which can be assigned to either team.

the dm has control over 2 different kinds of units:

The Innocents are a very weak unit, and are run by one player the DM but they're primary strength are their numbers. While the above 2 teams get 1 hero per player. The Innocents get 1 random unit per 10 seconds. The Innocents are citizens of SunnyDale and fodder for the Demons. The DM also gets a primary Innocent hero to play as well as a default house.

The Demons are very powerful units, and can be powered up in shops around town until they're fully ready to be let loose. When summoned they can wreck all kinds of damage. However only 1 demon can be summoned per episode, although they can be 'Saved Up' for a major assault at the end of the Season.

Time Breakdown:
There are a couple of uses for time. 1 episode lasts 30 minutes of game time. After the 30 minutes are up the timer resets and another episode quietly begins. After 10 episodes the game finishes with The Season Is Over see again next Time, scores are calculated and the winner wins.

After each Episode everyone is given a 15 minute break. The DM judges how well the hero roleplayed and awards points based on that. The DM can decide to award no points and continue the game without this break.

Dungeon Master Breakdown

The DM can choose whether to aid the Demons or the White Hats and can choose to create/run special plot scenarios within the township and other areas. A dm is capable of kidnapping a White Hat player and placing them in the Demon Trap. A DM can also kidnap a Demon and put it in the White Hat Trap.

Traps: Trap characters from opposing teams hostage until a team mate from the same team member as the character being held steps into the circle and rescues them.

The DM gets special trigger keys with which to control the invulnerable doors to both a Crypt and Church. These buildings cannot be invaded by aircraft. These are buildings that hold the Traps.

The DM can then hold the character there indefinitely until the rescuing characters can satisify various quests. These could be sumoning Quests where they have to create a special item out of rare ingredients or perhaps they simply need to do nothing more than slay 50 vampires and solve a riddle/puzzle/mystery created by the DM.

The DM can also marry two characters who are on the same side in they're respective Church or Crypt.

The DM can also apply numberous status effects from Plague-like zombie illness to other strange effects upon his populace through his hero character to get a quest or mystery started.

The DM gets a house with a dungeon to hold demons/innocents or other 'surprises' until the time comes. The dungeon also doubles as the roleplaying/drama point creator with shades acting as counters. This house is shaded out, and hidden from all other players.

The DM has the power thru triggers to teleport groups of creeps/innocents/demons around as needed. The DM can also try to bribe hero characters to aid in a plot or scenario by offering extra drama points and rpg points to the character if they perform well.

The DM can listen to all channels, all teams and can switch this on and off.

It is the DM's responsibility after each episode is to award Roleplaying points (exp) which are the only things characters can use to increase they're heroes level. It takes 15 roleplaying points to gain 1 level. When a DM awards Drama points, the game displays how many, and to which player.

The DM is also responsible for the rewarding of Drama Points (gold) to each character. Drama Points can be spent at the altar of light renamed (Plot Twister) now or later buying a Plot Twist: (ressurection), or other items if one feels the need. Plot Twists are located inside the church, and need to be requested of the DM.

The DM's two characters are Giles (to chat with Team 1) and Spike (to chat with Team 2) The DM can voicechange to Giles, and voicechange to Spike to appear to be talking as those two characters.

A DM can also declare all units invulnerable, and can ban players if he feels it neccessary. DM's can also warn players over bad behavior before banning.

Death Breakdown

-If a white hat (hero from team 1) is slain by a demon from team 2. Or if a demon hero is slain by a white hat. They end up on the other teams chat, and are required to work with that team until a plot twist intervenes and brings them back to their home team side.

Unit Breakdown:

White Hats aka. The Scooby Gang: Reinforce and aid the heroine Buffy Summers or Kendra. They consist of a group of mostly weakling characters based on the tv series. The only thing these guys are really good at is running away from trouble. The heroine Buffy is randomly picked from within the team on map initialization. Certain characters of the group have special strengths and weaknesses.

The DM always get stuck with either Giles or Wesley (same character random name), and also with Spike or The Annointed One (same character model random name)

The Demons aka. Vampires: Reinforce and aid there anti-hero Angelos or Evil Willow is randomly picked within the team on map initalization. The lesser vampires get the task of hunting and bringing in fresh corpses to feed their den. All vampires are very, strong, deadly characters and can easily kill most White Hats.

-Vampires can transform between a hero model and vampire model. Vampires need to be in vampire mode to do their dirty work. Vampires can hire familiars (people) from their Plot Twister. They also take damage in when outdoors during the day.

-WereWolves can transform between a hero model and werewolf model. When a werewolf is in Werewolf form it has access to abilities but it also becomes everyone's enemy and may attack allies without hesitation. Werewolves are at the mercy of the full moon, which may be declared at any time by the GM. They also have a tendency to wander or roam about when in wolf form.

-SunnyDale Graveyard w/wandering npc/ai vampires, that maybe say stuff when they die.

The Terrain, township and outlying areas:

-A small Cave area hidden outside of town that acts as a very small den house. Can be purchased for personal use: 2 golds.

-Sunnydale HighSchool, creep spawn area for wandering baddies. Has a Library where Tomes of Demon Lore can be researched and read about.

-The Bronze in the center of town, an almost open area hedged in on two sides by town buildings. Has tables, a small private stage and a shop that sells potions, soda pop and other drinks. A popular place for Innocents to gather at night.

-houses like in Loap that you can buy. Regular town houses cost 10 golds each. All Vampires (including the domesticated variety) need to be invited into houses but once they are they can become uninvited guests able to come and go as they please.

-Mauseleums, expensive grave statues, and small graves to hide in. Not as grand as the crypt but it protects against the sun.

-The Church houses the Altar of Light (Plot Twister) in place of an altar as would appear in a church. If you can get in with an empty vial u can fill it with holy water from the fountain at the door.

-The Crypt houses the Altar of Darkness (Plot Twister) in place of an altar as might appear in a crypt dedicated to evil beings. If you can get in with an empty vial u can fill it from the blood fountain at the door. It is located deep within Sunnydale Graveyard.

-Sunnydale Graveyard the area of most Mauselems, grave statues, small graves to hide in, and an abundant area to find vampires, zombies and others. A dark palor protects the graveyard from direct sunlight. Although the gate leading into it can be opened and closed by anyone.

-DM's home, the biggest house in SunnyDale it has a personal dungeon which can be used to hold creeps, and other custom surprises, it holds a multitute of fine monster shops that hold an abundance of all items anyone could ever possibly want to run the perfect adventure. Also has a main room for visiting friends to enter/chill in with a small library in that room on demonology, features couches, a bar with whiskey in it, and adjoining room leading to a small bed.

Custom Breakdown:

-custom items: Holy Cross (injures everything on Team 2), Mk47 (instantly kills anyone on Team 1 who gets hit by it), crossbow (weapon), stake (instantly kills anyone on Team 2 who gets hit by it).

-custom icons: with hero faces on them from the series, custom abilities, and custom items.

I offer to help with ideas and some editing but I feel some of the stuff needed is far to advanced for me to do on my own.

I was also thinking of perhaps maybe you could make different 1.0 versions of open source & tinkerable arena maps. Different tilesets & layouts with preset triggers so that someone new to map editing can follow the directions, this trigger does this, etc, to create they're own customized version.

would it be cool if there were 3 billions of edited version of the map. I say that it should rather be protected

Here is an idea I have been messing around with...

The game is called "The Chaos Theory: Behind Enemy Lines." The teams are: The Agents vs The Empire.

The Agents
Player 1
Player 2
Player 3
Player 4
Player 5
The Empire
Player 6

All the agents have is a peasant, peon, wisp, or an acolyte and you have to sneak behind enemy lines using your two spies (shades) to spot out guards. Once you are behind enemy lines there are places to build. The only thing you can build is an altar. There you train a hero and use it to rescue your units who are being held prisoner behind enemy lines. Once you have rescued all of your units you and your allies have to defeat "The Empire." The Empire's base is guarded with towers. Inside is the leader of the empire. His stats are very good. If you defeat him you win.

I have a few ideas for other maps you can make too so e-mail me if you are interested.

I got an idea too actually.
I would call it: "The Magic Forest"
Everyone has some kind of unit (footman, huntress, archer etc...)
It's everyone vs everyone
maybe alliances could be cool so you decide your allies.
the terrain would be like a big forest, mountain, lake and caves.
There would be creeps too! lot's of creeps and they sometime (very rare) drop a book of (some kind of) spell which gives your hero an ability. This is the only way to get abilities and abilities are very useful and can be sold to a high prices.
Everyone has some kind of base (altar?, shop?) to defend which is their base. If base dies, you are gone...

What do you think?

I like that idea the only suggestion I would make is that you get resources by killing enemy units. That would force people to keep attacking. Making the game more fun and fair.

yeh and that the units can be upgraded somehow, eigther by levels, ie at level 4 you morph into next unit, or by buying from a shop. if you did the buying one you could make it so that to get the ultimate unit you have to do various side quests or something.
