You need 3 things:

1) bear form ability
2) normal form unit
3) alternate form unit

Copy your unit that you want to morph, change the model etc. to your fitting and then use this unit as alternative form unit. Should work then.

Use something like crow or bear from. The normal unit type has to be the unit type you want to morph into. The alternative unit type has to be the current unit type of the unit. Upon adding and removing the ability to/from the appropriate unit it will have changed unit type.

Bear form has a research requirement that must be removed if one wants to modify it as a unit ability.

Just check how the default "bear form" ability works. You need 2 alternative unit forms which are switched and both units need this ability to be able to transform back and forth.

Just try your 2 units in the default bear form ability before making your own to get a feeling how the ability works. The rest is self explaining.
