How to make my spells also burn mana

Hello there,

I am trying to make a tower that has a special; enemy units who got hit by its spells also burn 1 point of mana.

I tried
  • Spell burns mana
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    • Conditions
      • (Ability being cast) Equal to Chain Lightning (Spell Tower)
    • Actions
      • Unit - Set mana of (Target unit of ability being cast) to ((Mana of (Target unit of ability being cast)) - 1.00)
However it only burn mana from the first target.

It doesnt need to be something like chain mana burn, just any spell , breath of fire for example but any enemy unit who got hit will lose 1 mana.


Any help ?

I think you would need the entire spell to be a trigger. I.E. base the spell on something like Channel,
when hero casts the spell on a unit create lightning effect from casting unit to target of caster


cause casting unit to deal X damage to target unit

set mana of target unit to mana of target unit - X

pick every unit within X range of target of casting spell and do multiple actions

create lightning effect from target of casting spell to picked unit​

cause casting unit to deal X damage to picked unit​

set mana of picked unit to mana of picked unit - X​

pick every unit within X range of picked unit and do multiple actions

ect...​
