how to make my own attachments?

i wonder if i can make my own attachments from a unit..

my sample is a bandit..i want his shield to be an attachment..but i dont know how..

please help...

u mean how to extract or create a look alike shield ?

my point is..i want an item(a shield) that if u worn it, an attachment will be on. i cant explain well but i guess its enough...

i want a look like shield model...for short...i want to make one..HOW?

there is 2 way : extract from a model with a shield or u could totally make one from scratch currently i only know how to extract

yeah i made my shield from a bandit...
and hell i tried to attach it in game..but a hell bandit appeared on the left hand of my unit..damn it..

ok u have to use vertexmodify to remove the body NOT the weapon/shield u want then u save that geoset only not the whole unit

after that what will i do?

yep to mdx and then move the shield around depending on which hand you want to attach to but if its a sword the middle cross (for War3ModelEditor) to the hilt and for bow its the middle of the bow and for staft to somewhere in the middle

uhm...i dont want it to be attached permanently on a unit...i want "if a unit uses an item the attachment will appear, if the unit drops it the attachment will dissappear"..is that possible?

as i said u could extract a 'base' model and modify it or u could make one from scratch(which i dont know since i does not do that )
