How to convert w3x files to w3m

The old Posts don't work on this anymore. Need your help with more specific instructions on how to convert w3x files to w3m.

Why do you want this? Non-expansion maps (.w3m) have significantly restricted functionality and less/different object editor data.

I literally can’t think of a benefit to doing this. In my opinion, trying to support RoC installs in the age of Reforged is beyond ridiculous.

As far as I am aware there is no difference between the two anymore since Reforged released. Everyone who owned RoC got a free upgrade to TFT. As such no one should be making content for RoC anymore, and the only use of legacy builds of RoC is for archival or retro purposes.

Can you tell me why this MURPG map of mine can be played in the world editor but when I enter the game it doesn't display that map anymore. Is it because my map file is YDEWE? How can I change it back to W3M file?

Open it up with MPQEdit and see if the contents of the file look alright.

Warcraft III might not recognise map files made with newer versions of Warcraft III.
