[JASS] How to check if a special effect was successfully created

For various reasons, i'd like to know if AddSpecialEffectTarget() actually creates a special effect or not. It is supposed to return an effect, but it seems like the effect is not "null" even if the model path is invalid... Does anyone have other suggestions as to how you could validate the effect?

Try to print it's HandleId. If it's not 0, it does exist.

Hmm, doesn't seem to work. It appears that the attachment is created regardless of whether the model exists or not. What i need to know though is whether the model exists.

the best trick is memhack, yet it have some downsides
