[Spell] How to begin: Throwing Axes

Hello dear Hivers,

I thought of a spell what would be nice for Rexxar:

Throw Axe:
Rexxar throws an axe to a direction. If an enemy gets hit, its slowed and takes damage. Rexxar has 1/ 2/ 4 axes to throw at his enemies.
Slow: 10% + stacks
Damage: 35 dmg
Cooldown: Until he has a new axe
Axes: 1/ 2 /4 (depents on level)
1 axe respawns at a rate of 8sec.

This is basicly the axe spell of Moraxes from HON.
Do you guys have tips or ideas how to make this spell?

The cooldown part is impossible to make. Or well, not impossible to create, but impossible to show the re-charge time.

its not impossible u can add 3 spells (depending on how much axes u max have) and make custom icons with 1,2,3,4,5,6.... axes (like in dota 1 with visage) and recharge time like u said its easy.

OFc if u have 0 charges upon casting
Event - Unit begins to cast a spell (orwhatever)
Condition - SOMEINDEX or SPELLBASEDLEVEL EQUAL to 0
Action - Unit Order Triggering unit to Stop
Action - Display U dont have enough charges/axes.

I just added a projectile system to my new map and I am surprisingly happy with it.

You can make a dummy unit that casts slow on the unit taking the damage.

For the charges, you indeed can make multiple spells and add a number to the icon.
That is the best way to show a number of charges.
Every periodic event (8 seconds) add a charge (set new ability)
When the unit casts the ability remove a charge (set new ability)
