How do you delete threads?

It's not common users can delete threads.

It's also very uncommon. Threads are usually closed if necessary.

Just to add more onto what the other two say, the only way a regular user can delete a thread is by sending a request to the Staff. In general, we only delete threads that break the rules.

That's not how I would phrase it. If you start a conversation with a group of people, it's not for you to decide when the conversation ends. You just brought the topic up, you can't silence the rest when you have nothing left to say.

It would be more rude to silence people when you have nothing left to say.

Also, in certain cases we might close or delete threads if we deem it appropriate. A simple request is not enough, however.

To be fair, you should be able to delete your posts in a thread. Including the initial one.

Pretty sure it's possible on reddit for example
