How do I import skins?

I'm having trouble importing skins. The only part I don't understand is how you set the skin to replace "the following: unit/doodad/texture/interface."

There is no such texture. There's not even a doobad folder within the units folder. I belive you have picked the wrong custom path. What texture are you trying to replace?
