How can I remove an ubersplat from a model?

Topic pretty much says it all. If I, for example, wanted a model like thunder clap to *not* leave cracks on the ground, how would I go about editing it?

Sorry if this is a completely newbie question, but I'm definitely not a modeler ^^;;

look into magos model editor... (a program u can dl here somewhere)
in the node manager should be some stuff called ubersplat or something...
i wouldnt be too sure where exactly it is, though cuz i dont have it anymore!

Open the model with Magos' model editor and use the node editor to remove the ubersplat. The uberslplat should look like UBRx*** with a little grey icon. Just righ-click and remove.
