How can I add custom skins to a custom model?

I downloaded a Sylvanus skin. I want to attach it to a Sylvanus model that I unarmed using Magos WC3 Model Editor.

Is it possible, how do I do it, what programs would I need, and will the weapon show if I add the skin?

I'm pretty sure the custom model uses the same skin as the original, so just replace the original.
