It is to my great lament that I haven't had time to fully respond to this, so let me just say that this is a singularly-impressive & epic model. Really harkens back to ye olde days of modding. I love this.

I'm not actually sure how to adjust/place footprints o.o

I thought it was just a case of 1 or 0, and it's a happy coincidence if they line up with the model o.o

Nice guess , but since they are nodes you should be able to adjust their positions just like how you adjust attachment nodes
