Hiveworkshop Dota Contest

I'm just posting this as poll to see if there are enough people on hive and also willing to play some friendly (what am I saying, dota is unfriendly as hell) games against each other.

Best hope would be more than 15 people so that we can have a tournament of sorts with multiple 5 man teams competing for rep or something if mods allow it.

It would be also fun to watch, replays and such - maybe even a youtube video series or something.

So what do you all say? Do you like the idea or not?
Also which dota would you play, warcraft dota or dota 2?
I am lot more for dota 1 (aka warcraft dota)

Dota 2. I just hate the hotkeys for the inventory in dota 1.

There is a 3rd party software I use for Warcraft maps that use inventory and spells that aren't qwerty

I'm for DotA (War3) since I don't have DotA 2 and the nearest shop doesn't have DotA 2. I'll have to go to the central city to play.

Idea is nice i can join u guys too. I've played both Dota1 and 2. As a Dota1 player i prefer 1 over 2 but 2 is nice too.

If I join, I'll prefer Dota 1. Coz' Dota 2's graphic is too...unfamiliar and Dota 2 takes lots of hard disk space (Dota 2 - a few GB, Dota 1 - only about 8 MB).

But installing Warcraft also near 1GB. What's difference? Yes, just graphic. DotA 2=Good, 1=Poor

But each update is more than 50 MB...in the future, you might get over 3 GB of Dota 2 updates...
P.S. DotA 2's terrain, graphics are too...*cough* complicated to me...

Haven't downloaded DotA 2 on my new laptop because it's now more than 10GB... Would take quite a few hours to finish downloading...

Depends. For me it doesn't because it needs internet to be played.

What I loved about DOTA 2 is that there is a built in warkeys, and can reconnect. The others is okay for me.

So are we going to have the tournament, as I would play on any dota seeing I have both, but I would prefer dota 2.
