Hive tournaments?

Hello as I see we have many contest like bossfights etc... But could we do in game contest like tournament (Footman, Risk or what ever map). So there would be every week tournament in any random map.

How is idea?

Not realy a big fan of the idea... If you want to challange people from the hive PM them or open a thread and say "Risk, at 7:30, name= 'Risk-tournament'". and you can set a password so only hive people can get in.

this is more of a modding site rather than a warcraft playing site.

Hey but really, not only risk tournament. What ever footman or other maps. So there will be more people. IF we would have every week one tournament. Like in saturday or sunday.

It's just that WC3 is old and a lot of the people have gotten bored of it but are only still here because they have friends

Yeap Pyritie is right.
Its a modding site, and thats true - WC3 is old and i dont play it much anymore, but im making systems, spells, skins and other, because i enjoy creating stuff that other people can use, and this site is helping me improving my works.

Guys, NO this is gaming site more as i know and second it does cost nothing to have once a week tournament. (I can be one of organizators) Just one forum more and hive would have fun in wc3.

THIRD. You have your own host bot. THat means that really hive users play wc3. So we could have tournament once a week. Easy.

This is a modding site.

And the hostbot is unofficial and not meant to be much of a part of THW.

Unfortunately... I mean if I wanna play melee I'd do it with a player from my team that I know is good etc, but it's sad no1 's for mods like Footmen or even Dota OMG (cause i dont play normal, im not doter). OMG is fun. Anyway, not a prob for me, im here to help/get helped when i do some modding.

I find it funny how loads of people insisted hive is a modding site, even Ralle, yet he kept on insisting.

Anyways, if you wanna play with people from hive, an easy way is simply go to the chat located in the top navigation bar, and ask if anybody wants to play.

1st. Some users doesent even go to chat channel
2nd. I want to have tournament, not original matches.

Yeah as a person who plays a lot of 1v1/2v2 and yet would rather train for real tours w/ good players, I can tell this is not a bad idea but hardly the place to find such players here. I remember some guy organized 1 fun melee tournament here but this is not a melee website, so you shouldn't expect much interest.. Try WCR wincup#1 and GL!

I just wanted to play custom games tournament, not melee?

Garena is the best place now, all tours take part there. It's virtual LAN that has the connection of a single player aka 0.00 lag/delay with exceptions sometimes. The only thing that makes bnet better is that it has a real Melee ladder. Garena rankings were removed cause they were a failed attempt to make a 'ladder' and no1 cares about Garena ranking based on massing games. At least you get levels for every game, even if you played Starcraft on that account. Even for maps War3 RPG channels ftw, bnet sucks for custom games aka hosted games.
