Was it a joke or is it really happening? I saw a pic of it once, nothing else after that. Would love to see more stuff of it. :) Also will there be a Starcraft 2 race-based theme? Zerg for example, my favourite.

Yes I know this sounds like "do this do that yadada" arrogant post, but I'm just curious.

It was ages ago...

I don't know if I consider 2012 ages ago, but sure.

There is a progress thread about the site in the dark recesses of the Mod's Lobby,
but if you want to know any more I reckon you'll have to talk to Ralle, as I am not
allowed to share any information that thread contains.

Alright, I understand.

2012? I think the first time I heard talks of Hive 2 was 2011, at the very least. In spite of that,
(...)We're family friendly, damnit. Give us some spoilers.

I also had the privilege to look into some of the screenshots posted in Mod's Lobby, but people were mostly complaining about superficial stuff like brown being a little too green and whatnot, instead of the actual layout.

The veeeery early alpha stuff I saw was transmitted by Ralle directly on one of those sites that allows you to live broadcast. I wasn't too impressed by the looks of it, didn't voice it, but Ralle understood I wasn't liking too much what I was seeing. If the layout is as interesting as that public screenshot that Archian posted, then I like it.

I did so in the past and I'll recommend it again about the like/dislike thing: discuss it with the community before implementing. That and several other features. I had a list with quite a few points about things that should be rethought about the Hive. I don't know if I still have it. It included things such as reputation and resource comments.

That really sounds like a rumor. Anyone could photoshop it, and I don't think we need this to come into notice.

BTW, I use Terran just because it looks much better. (cleaner/neater)

I'll be damned if Hive 2 comes out before Warcraft IV....

Oh well; I'm actually looking forward to seeing this site getting a well-worth facelift after having hung around here for quite some time. I'm just hoping we haven't all waited for a bunch of cosmetics.

Reminds me, for example, when Pyritie changed the [Solved] prefix system for the World Editor Help Zone to something else and basically blew my 3 years work. I don't know if it was ever restored, but I think not, so yeah. Sometimes, people with a less discerning eye tend to miss small, yet possibly important things.

The [Solved] prefix has always worked the same way. In vB, you can create "groups of prefixes" and apply only one of them to a forum. For example, in WEHZ, the current prefix group has the prefixes [Solved], [Import], [General] and so. Because one forum can only have 1 prefix group at a time, changing the prefix group for a specific forum will cause all the threads in that forum to lose their current prefix. That's what happened when Pyritie made changes.

- You're not supposed to know that.

And there's nothing to fancy about the fact you mods ain't gonna share the development progress with the community.

I think it was a bad thing to even tell about Hive 2 this early, you make everyone wait, and waiting's not funny. Especially when we don't know the current progress.

Thanks a lot, but I'm afraid I won't be answering that VM. I don't want to reply to a picture of lips, it's scary man xD

Surprises are indeed nice, but my point was making us wait with no information at all, only by saying you're on it last year (I joined 2012, it might of been earlier). There was that picture which Archian posted (why's he treating us this kindly lol), other than that nothing.

No don't seppuku :( all the staff on hive have probably been told not to share any information with users.

I truly wonder what does it look like.

Maximum width of about 1000 pixels (wow forum) with a fancy background would look neat! It's a simple value in CSS, width-max. Works fine with width in percents, it just stops stretching at width of given pixels. Maybe 1500 or something...
