Sorry for commenting twice--- but you might want to change the .blp quality to be lower. At 75% you hardly lose detail, but the filesize will be like 60-100kb instead of 253.

Okay, I resubmitted it and decreased the quality, but the link still says 250+ kb

As for usefullness: I don't know, maybe in a melee map with everything reskinned or a
futuristic theme, or an rpg where he is a secret hero. (or a futuristic rpg (again!))
I think you just need to use your imagination. (no offense)

Edit: the size is now smaller, judging by the link.

Personally, I see no use for this skin. It looks interesting (the icon is crap, though, lol).

One thing that I have to ask though (this is to a lot of people, not just directly at the person who submited this skin):

Why is it that people ask for credit on skins or models that they "create" that are just reworkings of Blizzard's original work (where it looks soooo much like the original), and ask for credit as being the "author" of that model or work???????

Yeah, sorry 'bout that, but it said "GIVE CREDIT WHEN USING THIS IN YOUR MAP", not "GIVE "ME" CREDIT WHEN USING THIS IN YOUR MAP". But I'll change that nevertheless.

As for what you said: I think it's because most people who create models\skins base their works off blizzard content. I mean, if you look at the stuff on this site, you may have noticed that majority of it is based off blizzard content. Take Kitabatake's water lieutenants for example, he seemed to have based them off a b.elf lieutenant and colored them blue, but he claims it's made by him, because he made a different unit (and he's right), and besides, if this site only allowed "made from scratch" works, there would be few icons, even fewer models, and almost no skins at all because majority are reworked blizzard content. I mean, I worked hard to make this skin,
seeing as how most of it is freehand and the fact that I've added highlights and shaded some things support this, besides, it's my first skin. If I just recolored the skin or poorly colored it (as if I used MS paint), then that's when you can draw the line.

P.S. the icon is also my first icon, and i've made crappier practice skins before doing this. oh, and kitabatake, your water lieutenants rocked (plus they looked like blue b.elf lieutenants), so I used them as reference, and because I'm afraid of getting critiscized (or flamed) for my work, this might probably be the last skin (and icon) I submit to this site. (or any other site for that matter) Also, I will no longer post a comment on this skin. The icon, even if crappy, is merely just a convenience for people who are too lazy to make their own, and besides, if all my time was spent on making the icon, the skin wouldn't look as good now, don't you think?

penguinsmasher, what I like to do for icons is take a closeup screenshot, with WC3V, of the face of my unit and then edit it and add in the metal border in photoshop, it keeps flames away and it actually comes out looking really good.
If you want you can take a look at the icon

http://www.wc3sear.ch/index.php?p=Icons&ID=11673&sid=ad7eff53e04716e575fa852468283aeb

or the skin

http://www.wc3sear.ch/index.php?p=Skins&ID=4760&sid=ad7eff53e04716e575fa852468283aeb

And as for stopping skinning because you worry about people flaming your work, I really don't think you should quit, you don't get better at skinning without skinning and hearing what other people have to say about it (And bear in mind that everyone gets flamed once in a while) and also remember that there is a difference between critiscizm and flaming, critiscizm is, "This kinda sucks but here are some things you can do to improve it..." and flames, "Omfg, you skins are such crap, never post again, burn your copy of warcraft and throw away your painting programs!!!!" And even though i'm a begginer at skinning myself, I do know (now, I didn't always) that taking in what flamers say is the worst thing you can do, if someone flames hit the report button on their comment and leave it to the mods. But that's just my opinion, I think you should stay, if you don't want to then that's fine too, but if you want to skin well you should definitely not quit. :D

I'm just saying that this might be my last skin beacuse I'm kind of moving on to other activities (such as Half life 2 and neverwinter nights) and the duration it takes of making a proper skin is somewhat long, and because I have high blood pressure, I often lose my temper to certain accusations against me. that was me yesterday, but I settle down eventually, like right now.

But whenever i try to paste something in photoshop, a new layer is always created, and i know nothing about that. (the only thing i know my way around in photoshop is the art tools)

i can't believe my download counter even got past 10 downloads. (i was expecting maybe 5 or 6, but not past 10)

Edit: i just fixed the icon. updating now..

By the way, if you fully read my previous comment, then you may have noticed that I broke a promise I made =D

if people are wondering why there's a blue bird on the emblem design on the blade, it's because that's supposed to be the mascot of my school which is a blue eagle. (besides, I couldn't think of any other design for the emblem)

I am honored. Thanks man! :D (even though it was used in a strange way)
The title kind of matches my skin, though, considering he wears armor that contains all 3 primary colors and the fact that he wears camouflage pants and wields a pair of fiery orange and yellow warblades that have an orange-framed red colored emblem of a blue eagle as well as him having a six-pack replaced by 2 tubes carrying green plasma throughout his entire body. Not to mention his armband cpu's change color depending on his ownership. (Okay, maybe it wasn't used in a strange way after all, although I still don't know why you would name a bada** cybernetic demonhunter "Terrorblossom", I mean, his ultimate can't be, um, thorny flowers flying around dealing 50 damage to surrounding enemy units, can it?) As with olof's Grevious model, I impatiently wait for campaign with great anticipation. (Oh! Maybe you named him that beacuse it gives off a retro-ish vibe along with the name of his brother!)
