ill be honest, i dont know where to post this. :hohum:
if somebody could move it if they know where then go ahead :p

but is there a guide or tutorial on how to make "successful" heros in ORPGs? like good stat guide, mana regen, health max, and other info like that?
at the moment i am using a 25 / 20 / 15 stat choice, (ie 15 int 20 agi 25 str) and then changing them from there, (10 int 20 agi 30 str) and things like that.

In other words, Game Balancing ? That's about the hardest thing in game productions.
Don't think there are any guides talking about it here on the hive, though.
I guess you should start with the things you think are best balanced and then work it out with lots of testing, or, you can google it and find some guides (as they are most likely global to any game).

One useful tip is to remember "pros vs cons." It sometimes helps to balance a game by having the balance revolve around units that have an advantage in certain areas and a disadvantage in others.

For example, you might want to consider an unit heavy on physical damage and strength, but it might suffer in the mana/intelligence department (and perhaps speed). Spellcasters, likewise, can be devastating, but may be very easy to kill.

ya thats what i have been doing, like an "assassin" will have high damage, but low life, etc... but its harder finding the balance betweed str agi and int for casters warriors and sneaky people, i downloaded a program that was apparently "very" helpful to others in the "Tools" section, i havent tried it out but hope it goes nicely :p
