Sigh, the Olympics aren't special anymore. They stopped being special a long time ago.

The only reason I watched the last Olympics was because it was in Greece. 'Twas a sad day in history when America didn't win the Basketball Gold Medal.

Anyway, I have no desire to watch this Olympics. Most of the time it's insanely boring. I watched part of the opening ceremony and it was alright. I didn't get to see it all so I can't really comment, but usually the most exciting part is the opening ceremony.

I appreciate all the hard work that the athletes from all nations put in, but it's just not all that exciting to me. I don't know why.

and China definitely has the ceromony for it. Chinese culture always demands huge cerimony, so they pulled out all the stops for this one. A HUNDRED million dollars. The fireworks were nuts too. Three hours worth of fireworks. God knows how much that cost, they were setting them off left right and center.

Global Pride?

Fuck that. The Olympics is about showing how much better your nation is than all the others, through athletic means.

Really? because there was a commercial that Specifically said that we dont root for who is the same ethnicity as you, we root for anyone, simply because we are Human.

If you believe that, you're sadly mistaken. The Olympics are about competition and winning.

And no you don't root for anyone that's the same ethnicity. As far as I know, a lot of the American Olympians aren't my ethnicity, but I want them to win.

I really liked the ceremony, not only because it was excellently made and performed, but also because it was technically extremely complex.

They had multiple kilometers of fiber optic cable in the stadium for data distribution, a large network of HP procurve gigabit switches, 120 media servers with Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPUs for all the projected graphics, nearly 150 projectors, 11 lighting consoles, and 2300 automated lights. From a technical standpoint, it was simply amazing.

Pff I do that in my backyard all the time!

I haven't even watched one event yet. : (
The fact that we don't have any channels might be a slight problem. :p

Winter Olympics ftw!

China cheated in the women's gymnastics. There is no way half of those girls are above 12. It's bullshit that talented American girls get silver, when over-worked pre-pubescent 8 year old kids with baby teeth in their mouths get gold.

Bullshit.

LOL the chinese government MAKES their documents its pretty easy to fake.
It has always been that way and always will.

Hahhaha i laughed so hard when he said the Olympics checks those things. LMAO.
It's not like its hard for a government to create a false governmental document. ahahahha. oh that was funny.

Oh and it's fact that china is using underage athletes at least two are 14 according to China's own newspapers and websites.
Their ages are different by two years from the international competitions they competed in and the ones the government supplied to the authorities. FUCKING FUNNY.

just because Ralle (if he's not a lie =.=) is from denmark doesnt mean that this is a denmark website is it now?
