Helpful Malware Removal/Defense Tools

Well, I thought since this is the computer tech forum, and there are lots of, for lack of a better term, asswipes out there that want to cause people trouble, it would be nice to compile a few good free defense tools against said asswipes.

I thought this would be nice since I was recently infected with some things, and this was quick and helpful.

ATF Cleaner
Erunt-Registry Backup
Malwarebytes Antimalware
HiJack This
Spybot Search and Destroy
Ad-Aware
CCleaner

And this site has many extremely helpful resources, and was quite helpful in my quest to clean my computer.

P.S. I know we are not supposed to link to other sites, but I think that since this site has a much larger and more knowledable userbase, it would be helpful to anyone with issues that cannot be solved here.

All these things are great, but Hijack This is probably the most useful.

That program will get you out of any fix, just upload the log and have an expert look at it and they'll set you straight.

Yeah, that is why I also linked to that site, because they have a bunch of people that can look at the log of HiJack and tell you what's wrong. It was extremely helpful to me.
