Help with imported skins

hello, I have a question about skins.
If you import a skin, does it always change the skins of all units that are using the same model?
or is there a way to make skin changes only apply to a single unit.

No. But if two models use one skin, for example Arthas and Arthas with Sword, it will change the look of both models. Or if you change the glow texture, it will make all hero models different, because all hero models use hero glow.
