Help Asap

So the other day our shared downstairs computer did something funny. I wasnt there when it happened but I guess upon boot there was a message stating that the primary and secondary drive couldnt be found.

So my dad decided to reformat the thing and reinstall windows. So he did that and reinstalled the drivers but it runs extremely slow. And the boot message still comes up about not locating the primary and secondary drives. It also says press F1 to continue and F2 to setup. When you hit F1 it just

continues on to windows incredibly slow mind you. When you hit F2 it goes to install windows again or some crap. So im wondering whats with the boot message and why is it running slow.

I apologize for the double post. I guess my psp has a text entry limit. Ill merge them as soon as Im on a computer.

On a random note, try keyboard mashing while it is loading. It works for my laptop.

It might be that one of your hard drives is failing. Symptoms of a failing drive include strange seeking noises, running slowly, or failing to be detected after POST.

If it isn't that, then it might be a problem with the cable or the southbridge/drive-controller.

Mh if you have a DELL-pc, try pressing ALT+E+F+B to recheck the devices.
If not, release the bios-battery for a minute or so, put it back in and try again.

I can't say for sure without knowing more. It's one of the first things I would check though.
