So the other day our shared downstairs computer did something funny. I wasnt there when it happened but I guess upon boot there was a message stating that the primary and secondary drive couldnt be found.

So my dad decided to reformat the thing and reinstall windows. So he did that and reinstalled the drivers but it runs extremely slow. And the boot message still comes up about not locating the primary and secondary drives. It also says press F1 to continue and F2 to setup. When you hit F1 it just

It might be that one of your hard drives is failing. Symptoms of a failing drive include strange seeking noises, running slowly, or failing to be detected after POST.

If it isn't that, then it might be a problem with the cable or the southbridge/drive-controller.
