Hi everyone
I am The_Revenant (a nickname I use in many games that is inspired by the revenant units in WC3 which I find to be quite cool as a concept).
I registered two weeks ago or so and now I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to make this short introduction, since I was suggested to do it.
I used to play Warcraft 3 enough in 2006 and 2007, then I took a break from it because of some old titles which my friends asked me to play online with them, such as Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge, C&C Generals, Heroes 3 and many more. Then I got fascinated by the MMOs, spending time with Mu Online, WooW and others..
Now I don't have too much time to play and it's ok that way, but I've always liked game modding and Blizzard makes it easy by providing their map editors, which to other games are available only as 3rd party software made by fans.
I joined the forum because I find it rich of resources and tutorials and it is a great place for me to seek help with the campaign I want to make and other map ideas I have. I find map-making ten times more creative and fun than playing the game itself, especially because I like programming (however I know nothing of JASS, that is something I need to learn as soon as I have time for it
)
That's all I've wanted to say here, I'm sure I've already bored a lot of people with this long story..
