Hi all ! I decided to learn a head modeling and here is my first low-poly head .
I know it sucks , but it would be great if you told me what I should do , so that it looks better .
It is still better than mine. But I think that it has too many polies, at least for an unit. For portrait it might be better. Anyway in wc textures does 80% of the job.
Yep you are right . But I d like to practise in head modelling . Its my first try
I used front foto as guide , but because of that some of the face details are not right . It is hard to find good right and side fotos . Some ppl say that it looks like a goblin
Yes its my first try for such model . At first time it is hard to make good and low polygonal . Aragorn looks like Arthas Werewolf what do you think is best for low poly models : box modelling or polygonal modelling? I have tryed box but it is little harder I think .
Never yet . As I said this is my first try in modelling humanoid head .
Mechanical Man could you show me your head plz ? And tell me how did you do it .
However, I lately made some new modifications, to experiment al little. I must say that didn't make from tutorial or reference, just what came in my mind.
P.S. If I knew that you are russian, i would ask you about some things, not those people, when I understood better when they were talking i russian than in english.
if your going for a low poly head try making the head out of a sphere with a sphere you get the general shape of the head already. Its just a matter of arranging the polies for the eyes, moth and stuff then molding from there.
