Hamuul Runetotem

This bundle is marked as pending. It has not been reviewed by a staff member yet.
Background Story

Hamuul Runetotem is the Archdruid of Thunder Bluff and a venerated leader of the tauren people. Taught by Malfurion Stormrage himself, he is the highest-ranked tauren in the Cenarion Circle. As many of his people do, Hamuul believes very much in the balance between nature and the races of Azeroth. Hamuul was a childhood friend and fierce supporter of High Chieftain Cairne Bloodhoof, and teaches the ways of druidism to his honored brethren. After Cairne was murdered by Magatha Grimtotem, Hamuul continued his role as advisor to Cairne's son Baine, the new High Chieftain, as well as teaching young druids.
As one of Azeroth's most venerable druids, Hamuul has aided in the defense of the world on numerous occasions. He battled the forces of Ragnaros the Firelord during the war against Deathwing, and helped lead the Cenarion Circle to war against Xavius, the Emerald Nightmare, and the Burning Legion.

Oh boy this is cool. I cannot say how hard it must be to eyeball the general 'girth' a Tauren oughta have in warcraft 3. I feel like a decent chunk of other models struggle to really capture that 'heft' very well unlike this model. The proportions all feel very in-line with what a tauren unit should have!

My only little note is that I don't notice a portrait 'animation' nor a portrait model, I don't know if one was uploaded or not with the rest of the pack or I could be crazy! nvm fixed!

Very good, although perhaps it wouldn't be bad if you made some variations in its skin or coat color, for example, a darker black tauren, or like the sorcerer tauren with a medium bluish or grayish color.
EDIT: That is, the color is beautiful, but you should make other models apart from the same one but with a different color, so you can have multiple options to choose from and with variability :)

If you need to do such things like this you can do it in a model editor of your choice and a skin of your choice that fits the Tauren Chieftan! This model in particular is quite beautifully made in such a way that it makes use of the Tauren Chieftan texture along any of its parts that show skin. This means using PrinceYaser's Cromm the Wanderer skin with this model nets results like this:

I find that using Retera's model studio makes doing little things like this incredibly easy. That way you can mix and match awesome models with awesome skins of your liking to make the Tauren Shaman hero of your dreams! Take a look at a video or two online, or maybe throw up a post or two in the help forums to get yourself started. Hint: it is as easy as opening the model and editing textures under the tools tab

But most importantly, don't forget to credit all authors for their work in your map when your done! Good luck and happy modding!

If you look back at some Tauren models I uploaded earlier you will see the difference the proportions. While this one has better proportions, some parts as still not as the original Tauren chieftain has, for example. But I tried to make the model look custom and unique, while also fitting in game.
Baiyu, you know better what to do, but please make DK tauren!
The models Baiyu uploads are made by me. He only optimized them(takes care of sanity test for some models) and uploads them with unique screenshots.

Usually it is Normal Mapping. Increase the model scale (most of your model scales are too small). repair noticeable clipping issues。 Some models may change parts. Add new animations. Subsequent updates.

I said this to one of your other models somewhat recently, but I want to say it again:

I will be brutally honest, I am not a fan of a lot of your models, not because you do not put effort or because they are straight up bad, but, because in my humble opinion, they do not fit the warcraft 3 aesthetics/graphics.
Recently though, you've been exceeding expectations! I am eternally grateful for your work and as is everyone else (at least in my opinion).
Seriously, this is what warcraft 3 and the wc3 community need in my opinion!

Thank you.

A very cool and useful model that I'm surprised we haven't seen made earlier. Very fitting and accurate.

The only thing that would elevate it in my view would be a nice set of custom animations to go with him but I understand that custom animations can be very tricky.
