Hello, any new members should introduce themselves here upon joining.
If you please, explain how or why you're interested in Lovecraft's works, perhaps how you were introduced to them or which one you read first.

Hey this hsould be our secret password to see if you are a fellow cultist. You ask "That is not dead which can eternally lie..." and the person if he is from the cult will say "...and with strage aeons even death may die"

I know a fellow cultist who roams the Hive and doesnt fear to show his affliation. Pyramidhe@d is the one Im talking of. Check out his avatar and signature.
However he says he will be much less active on Hive...

Also, Ive got an idea. Maybe our cult... erm, I mean group can have the users who are chosen to be the High Priests of the main gods? Like High Priest of Cthulhu, Yog-Sothoth, Azathoth... and I guess also High Priests of Nyarlathotep and Shub-Niggurath.

Yeah =D
And Seal of Cthulhu! And... and... a hooded man! Or something.
And in weird small font the great incantation of Cthulhu! And the "That is not dead which can eternally lie... with strange aeons even death may die" =P

I joined because I wanted to explore the deeper into the H.P. and his work.
Only creatures I heard of were Cthulhu and Shub-Niggurath.
About Shub-Niggurath i know much more than about Cthulhu, wiki can`t learn me forever or enough.
I want to know more about H.P. Lovecraft and his novels and I hope you guys will help me. :)

Lol I can imagine it xD
Cthulus: Honey... I wanted to ask you something very important
Girl: Yes?
Cthulus: It is very, very important...
Girl: Yes?! Yes?!
Cthulus: I want to ask you if you will...
Girl: Yes! Yes, a hudnred times yes!
Cthulus: Really? Great! I will tell the other guys right now!
Girl: Mhm!
Cthulus: They thought I would never find a sacrifice for our cult

My girlfriend and I just broke up.. and now I'm in the worst mood I've been in for a long while. Been gone for a bit, will be gone for longer. Al, take charge of the group in m' absence. Do stuff. Have fun.

Nah, it lasted quite a while, I just never told you guys about it until recently :/
I'd still prefer if you didn't sacrifice her.

Well, hello everyone! I love Cthulhu Mythos because I love his depressed and horrifying vision of universe. My first Lovecraft's work to read was Shadows over Innsmouth, which sealed my fate as cthulhu-lover xD
Alagremm, ty for invite =)

Tried google? =)

Also, there's a pretty awesome Call of Cthulhu movie made in 2005 I think, by some Lovecraft Society - it is mute, black'n'white (as if it was made in Lovecraft's time) and follows the storyline of Call of Cthulhu very precisely. It is a non-commercial movie, so it should be somewhere around internets.

Try second-hand bookshops. Reading Lovecraft from some old-old book is very... atmospheric? epic? Can't find the word, but I hope you get the idea =)

You still need to read the Dream Quest! *gasp*
And you sacrificed my ex... xD good thing I took that one-night course in REANIMATION.

Wait, isnt reanimating stuff using the eldritch knowledge of the Outer Gods, kinda... dangerous?
*Cthulhu's reanimated monster girlfriend jumps in and with claws rips the head of one of the cultists and then eats his heart*
I stand corrected. She's even better then before!

There's always a wonderful reanimaing elixir of Mr. Herbert West. Just make sure subject's brain is intact, or you might re-animate a monster.

BTW, anyone happens to know, where I can find Clarc Ashton Smith's books? Loveraft was fascinated by his writings, but I can't find any =/
