Nice ORM replacing practice, and Olympic medal leveling idea, even though not my taste. Classic golems are in human style. Reforged ones are in dwarven style, so stone makes more sense.

Also wouldn't it be so cool if you gave this Elemental an ability that stole a little bit of the player's gold when it attacks a player's unit? And then when it dies it drops ton of gold coins, or that Scepter of Transmutation or whatever it's called
