i have a question:

¿who will make the items and some triggered abilities from items?

i can do the abilities (SOME OF THEM) , but the items , making them is rly a tiring job...
 
Do you guys know what a chat room is? Or email? mIRC? AIM?

I came to this thread expecting a map, and it's just a bunch of guys spamming it with "my turn to edit the map".

if you didnt saw... its MAP DEVELOPPEMENT!!! so it's SUPPOSED TO BE under developpement... and yet its not every body that gots msn... why we use this as a ''chat room'' but its not really one.. cause its where we share our idea and we build up the map... >:(

so ... oker for the items.. i can make some of them .. i can't make the Triggers ability ... but i can still do the easy spells.. and the based item.. like as simple as.. +3 armor + 2 to heatlh + 3 to strengh and with a summoning spell.. for example.. also i talked with Monchopim on msn .. and i think the only items that we could found on the map is ...

(Trinkets = does nothing its just an enchante kind of.. like it could booste all and give you a new spell) ///

(Potion = well you know what it is) ///

(Normal items = like items with spells.. ex: Butterfly net = you can catch the fearies with it --> When we you catch a fearie it becomes like a ''charge up''... it gives you a booste for like 5 minutes ::+5 to strengh)

Guys, sorry, I never got around to working on the map, Goblin it's all yours, just download from the other link above. Sorry for the delay guys, tests keep me up all night long. And busy.
 
mmmmhhh... i imagine faerie forest just like you... but maybe , more colorful...

magic everywhere xD... maybe a short word to describe the place: "Happy Ever After Forest" lol...

EDIT: Isle Monsters.

Normal Creeps:
- Crab: Strong , good HP , good damage , Lonely creep , Hardened.
- Monstrous Crab: Very Strong , great HP , great damage , Very Lonely creep , Very Hard.
- Sand Shark: Very Agile , good HP , awesome damage , Surprise attacks.

Traps:
- Eating Sands: Inmovable Trap , when you enter there , you fill like getting rend by the sands of there... DPS trap.
- Fake Oasis: If you go there , who knows what thing waits you there... in attempt to look for a paradise... (data trap , gonna tell the tip in the data).
- Hot Sand: Lots and lots of Miles of hot sand... great DPS trap.

Raid/Elite Creeps:

GONNA PUT THEM IN THE DATA NOTE. most things will be in the data thing xD. also , i dont have a main idea for this creeps yet.

Oky people! i don't know if i have tell you this... but we need an RPG view.. like in wow.. where we can control the camera... ^^ i don't think it will be hard.. cause there's already 929310312 of maps created with this ''view''

and here's a question .. is it possible to change the fog color .. depending on the place in the map? like teal for the Swamp... Darkblue for the Darkforest.. and gray for the fearies forest? and etc...etc...etc..
 
Oky we have some good news... i have almost finish the fearie forest part.. a screenshot will come soon .. and heres a drawing Monchopim ... my idea will come later.. based on his drawing .. ;D

Edit= Well here are the first 2 screenshot of the fearie forest.. the only thing i need to add .. is the Fog effect.. and some fearie creatures.. and maybe bushes... ;D

if the this project is still going i could help i ve made a map a bit like this before called called crash landing its about a goblin transport lane going missing after being thrown of cousre by the mealestorm and then they crash on this jungle island where they are cautped by feral goblins and must fight to survive so i would quite like to work on this map seen as though crash landing stopped wrking for some reason
 
Um why doesnt the person doing terrain just keep the map and the people doing spells and units just do it in a seperate map then the terrain guy can just import object and ability data. Youre work rate would go up like 600%.
 
Go to the object editor:
File > Export all object data

Open the terrain map:
Go the object editor:
File > Import all object data.

I'll do the merging of spells/triggers to terrain and such. Uhm, no, nobody is currently working on the map.

Now people .. here's an idea i had today .. someting really easy to make .. but will imporve the map significatly....

a living Envirronement.. here's my idea = If you step into fire .. you burn.. if you walk into spiky roots kind of bushess.. it hurts you... as simple as that.. my idea.. make environnement unit .. with a edit IMMOLATION spell.. ;D
 
ok , good new , new data and , i can make some terrain events and things such related with boss and creeps... 1º dungeon of the swamp is already made , 2º dungeon is on progress (in the data) , well...
... i'll DL the map and make the Faerie Forest units , then , you can give me comments or something... but well... i better start working right now xD.
 
Nice idea with the immolation and all, but you should replace the damage art so when you go by a bush with thorns/go in a bush with thorns green fire doesn't appear above your head, maybe the word "OWW!" does or something
 
Make thorns have locust and invulnerability then give them immolation like you said but remove all the art from it so you will just take damage.

easy! but i can't for now.. cause Monchopim have the map.. sadly.. ;D (cause i'm doing the terrain and i don't think we cant impor the terrain into an other map ;D

No, the terrain cannot be imported into another map. HOWEVER, spells can be imported into the terrain map, just not vice-versa.

Okay, get the locust and immolation work done ASAP. =p

Yes you can.
Go to the terrain pallet and drag across all of the terrain you have done then ctrl+C open up the other map and ctrl+V. Do the same for doodads.
Its a bit sketchy, its easier to import spells,units, etc but its completely dooable.

i can do i bit of terrianing triggering stuff that now one esle can be bothered to do the only things i cant do are jass modeling texturing but can do most otherthings plus i ve made quite a few goblin maps i got a few ideas too

Edit = do you want a edit panel for the rpg? like instead of behing like the castel (human race) or the wood panel (orc race) or the forest panel (Night elf) it wil be a goblin panel?

It's called a CHUID. Custom Human User Interactions Device. Or, CUI, Custom User Interface, for short. And I design them. I'll work on a Goblin one if you wants. :D

- i'll work on the Dungeons and some terrain or traps triggers , well , almost general triggers.
- if someone wants to cover the Terrain trigger parts , i will tell ya want things we need ... i have almost everithing written... im passing down as fast as i can xD...

First you wouldn't understand it with the alpha channels, secondly, it's on the computer and you can't do it with paint. You don't friggin' hand-draw an interface.
 
okay good news.. i have worked on the terrain a little bit.. and the mountain is 25% done (i just did the relief and the tilsets) and the have done the island.. and 25% of the fields again... a screenshot will come tomorow.. btw for the montains here's my idea.. Not totally recovered of snow.. with some big rocks here and there.. and some gnomish campement here and there.. also with some wendigo Cavern .. and some winter tree and dead trees..

Don't waste our time.
"You will search that spell" your a joke, don't go around offering to search for others works for someone, its the easiest thing to do and anyone could do this.

Suggestion: Go learn to model, texture, terrain, trigger, and then offer your services; you will probably get accepted much more often.

So who has the map now? When shall we expect a BETA?

...I want to do something in the map, dibs on it next.

I just found a good model site, maybe we can find some stuff off there. Got about 10 goblin models.

i have started the fields and the mountain place.. and finished the little island .. enjoy ^^ :grin:
