Ah. Can do.

--> Swamp = well its a swamp...
--> Dark forest = its a forest were we found mutated things.. and other corrupted things...
--> Fearie forest = they live happy ever after... (is our main idea)
--> the Fields = well its a field where we will be fighting ..rabits... dog... prairis dogs.. etc... etc... (but its not a big part of the map so)
--> The montains = Cold and icy .. where we fight the gnomes.. and other kind of Fury animal...
--> The beach = we will fight some fish and some other water animal.....
--> and for all the dongeons.. we will talk about it later...

Here are some: If you want more details on specific units, ask.

  • Swarms - Many of them, fly around with immolation
  • Spiders - a few varietes. Deal poision damage but weak life
  • Alligators/Crocidiles - Lots of damage and hard to kill

  • Corrupted Ents - Deal LOTS of damage and have LOTS of life. Very rewarding though, and slow
  • Corrupted Elves - The ents counter parts, primarilt ranged, with low life but very fast.
  • Bats, similar to swarms but with an attack instead. Weak flyers.

  • Fallen Faries - Random neutrals - powerful spells, but not very many compared to other area.
  • North Faries - Two Seperate factions, not at war by any means, but they don't like talking. Things may progress.
  • South Faries - Two Seperate factions, not at war by any means, but they don't like talking. Things may progress.


  • Birds - really week flyers, attack in swarms
  • Rabid Dogs - Poison Bite
  • Angry Farmer - You are tresspasing - he has a pitch fork

  • Wendigoes - Strong, and frosty
  • Gnomes (?) Your idea. . .
  • Dwarves - reclusive and live in there caves. Don't encounter very often, but powerful
  • Undead - A band of undead has wandered far into the mountains, be careful!

  • Phirranas - Deal massive damage, very weak, attack in swarms
  • Sharks - Stronger, Tougher and Faster, truly frightening beasts
  • Crabs - Very in size, but are generally weak.
  • Murguls - You know murguls. . . average.

For the mountains, add in da Frost wolves and Bears. Also, have it so that the Dwarves will attack any bears/wolves on sight, and vice-versa.
 
thats a nice idea... keep coming with ideas!!! like.. for the fearie forest.. i will make a skin that is a Garden dwarf.. (the decoration kind of dwarf) that will be like status but when you come close to them they will move and attack... also a Leprechum that will have a gold pot.. and when you get too close.. they spawn..

Okay, Goblin, don't worry about the map demensions. The swamp can be a whole 256x256 for all I care. Because we're going to link the maps together using a system I'm working on in my head. Almost like a multiplayer campaign. Where, when you're ready to enter a new region, say, going from the Swamp to the Forest, all players will stand in an area. When all are there and they all type -regionswap, they will all get a code to write down, which saves their current hero. Another map is then loaded using a complicated system, and then it asks all players to type in their code they recieved. When they do, it loads their hero and they are free to play in a new region.

You can't load maps multi-player.

i think you can save their heroes between loads. But maybe its just campaign. But yeah ive always wanted to see a multiplayer map over the Bnet load to a different map. Of course if people play they need all the maps ahead of time. Ive never seen it done, it seems possible.

Dont know how well this will work to the play style though.

I had feared you couldnt. Sad. :( But if it gets that big thats not good.

Yes, it's possible. And yes, you can make a big swamp. But don't stretch it just because you can. =p

Yes. Like the Bonus Campaign, the Founding of Durotar.
 
Oker.. i will need a MODELER to make a Pointy red hat.. for the Garden Dwarf... (after i will have finish my skin) and.. we need a GOLD POT! and a RAMBO model...

also... a GOBLIN MODEL ... ATTACHMENT FOR EACH CLASSES.. (i think its alright) GNOMES MODEL! (also)

so yeah .. we need lots of work to do... (i'm working on the terrain... every time i have) cause i have some skins requests.. that i said ''yes''.. before i started the project.. so.. sorry ...

Anywho, i guess i could give modeling a fishing pole a shot. and a pointy red hat, i mean those are easy to model right? Ill see how i do lol. Been a couple years since i actually used Gmax. We'll see, maybe i developed a natural talent :D

And i guess we already have a fishing pole, but how hard could it be to model a pointy red hat -.-

The goblin model you want is called a "Base model", and we already have it as te WoW export. However, I won't talk about it because on THW, discussion of WoW exports is prohibited. Anyways, I just need to find a tool that can get the skins for the models, then they'll be ready to use.

well i would think if everyone had all the maps it would load to the next map, but they wouldnt all stay on the server, it would simply split. So it sounds like it wont work. Hero_Leif really needs to show the system he has in his head. As far as i know his imagination is running to wild. He needs to link his system and show someone who has done it, i doubt he has done it. All he has said is he has a system in his head -.-

Goblin, yes, it's possible, but no DON'T MAKE AN EPIC TERRAIN. Why? Don't do it just cause you can. If the swamp is supposed to be small, keep it that way!!!!

EDIT: Here, we discussed it on this forum. Read the entire thing! D: Also remember that my concept is a bit different so we don't have to store anything in the game cache.

oky i'm back finaly from this Looonnnng week-end..!!

well lets say for the muliplayer map system.. i will still make the hole Rpg in 1 map.. cause we don't need mutch place... so meeh... the only usefull thing for those... could be for the dongeons.. and thats all..

Meh, I looked more closely at hero's link, and I still think that its a lot of BS.

But, whatever. If he's done it before. . .then maybe. But there would be a lot more maps like that out there if such a thing wa possible.

This looks like its starting to shape up well.

i will start to work on the terrain ALOT!! before the school projects.. gets in ... and i might make the swamp a bit bigger...:D

EDIT #2: oh btw.. i want YOU!! (everybody) to make a concept for the swamp dongeons... so we could make a Brainstorm about how it will looks like... the units we will be fighting in etc...etc...

after the skin request is done.. and my texturing competition skin is completle i will start making skins for the Frog humanoid..

Lots of green slime, and canals and the like. Some foul poisonous beasties, a few rats, well. . . a lot of rats. Perhaps some crocidiles.

First view of the Dark woods... i will add some light here and there... and maybe some skulls here and there.. if you have any restriction ... SAY IT!! cause its OUR map..

well , despiting the "cut" of the fog , its quite well... so...

if almost everithing is setted up , cant you put a "%" of each thing you progress... (example: trigger , models , etc) , if it dont bother xD..

anyways , if you need help with ideas or some edits , just tell me.

why i didnt do it first... of and why the fog is seperated... is a technique i use to make my maps darker... its the doodad.. Smoge-Fuge (i think its called like that) that i resize at like 20.00 than i put it every where... so when you play its darker.. and it brings a creepy effects... why theres a line... i'm going to school now.. i will be back in 10 hours..

mmhhh... swamp creeps and stuff is almost done... maybe i can make an idea of the swamp dungeon... and a list of creeps ffor the second zone (Dark Forest if im not wrong).
