Hello guys!
I made my first model with GMAX, made a texture on it like you see ( i know its nooby, but I don't need more for my map).
Now i have downloaded the "Dexporter" (dexscript).
I read the tutorial, i did all what there stood, but if i want to export the mdl file to mdx, there stands file error.
I dont need any animations, so i didnt made bones.
The red "skin" (look pic) lol is just a red bitmap. I don't know how to add it to the model.
I just drawed it onto the model parts, like in magos tutorial.
One time i tried it to export, the converter worked, but in the viewer and magos model editor nothing could be seen. Maybe I just make a mistake by exporting. Pls help me.

ya im having trouble with that myself! how do you do animations? Oh and I only exported a very simple model with no skins on it, but you need like 2 programs i think to be able to export it. I'll try to look them up again because i got my computer re-imaged and i dont have anything but the things i recently installed. There was a tutorial that sort-of worked for me a little... I'll find it. Maybe this is a site for one of the 2 tools... http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource.php?t=62882, maybe this works better though for mdl to mdx; http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource.php?t=62991

You might want to look for another too, Yobgul's Mdl-Mdx File Converter.

for .gmax to .mdl, try http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Other.Detail&id=148

P.S, select everything and turn it to an editable mesh, then click the hammer button and press "run script", after that i think its "open listener".

Hope this helped xD
if these work, or do not work, tell me :)
