HELLO ALL! This map is one the first worthy maps I made and i decided to share it with you. I m not that experienced and it might not the best with regard to its trigger programming, but it works well with no serious bugs affecting gameplay and its fun!
The map offers a realistic experience of a gladiator arena. There are no potions, magic aid, magic abilities, spells and so on. There is no ressurection, or any imba units.
I balanced it as better as i could, from abilities and units to item prices and income.
The game is easy to learn, but requires skills to master it, since every duel is a challenge and most abilities work better if timed correctly. Currently the map is 1v1 and has no AI.
Many thanks to the guys that made the Xena model, 2 gladiator models, Rideless Arthas model and a sword model i used in. All from Hiveworkshop.
I m glad to hear any suggestions, but plz give a hint on how to apply it if its too complicated. Thanks, and I hope you like the map!

Hmm, the name is too plain and usual!
It is "Gladiator 1.69" Which is very usualll!!!!
I think you need to be creative if you wanted to attract players to see this map.
Maybe "Gladiators of the Blazing heaven or something?"
And, those pesimistic description have made me think "Bah,just another warcraft map".
Ehm maybe you can tell us how exactly we play it?
Not by saying "This is a realistic Gladiator arena"
But keep it up.
I have sense from that description that you are really willing to share your happiness to everyone else by sharing this map to everyone else.
That is a good and pure goal.

You are right! i ll update the name in the future :-D.
1)So, you pick (click) a gladiator from a cage, or use the -random command to have a random one selected.
2) You are moved in the so called pre-cage, and you are given some time to check the available weapons and equipment and to view your gladiators abilities.
3) Soon the doors open and you have to face your opponent. The arena has flaming stakes that you should avoid. Sometimes lions or the great mammoth has been released. You can try to lure your opponent to the fire or let the beasts eat him!. Moving is important, as well as fighting, timing the ablities and sometimes knowing when you should NOT get between a lion and its prey! Power is not everything.
4)Sooner or later, one gladiator will emerge victorious. The other gladiator meets his doom, and his items are automatically salvaged and can be found in the pre-battle cage.
5) The winner gains a level, some gold and a point of honor. He must then run in his pre-battle cage equip himself and take some rest by eating the sticky stew! The loser is forced to pick another gladiator, cause no gladiator ever returned from the heavens!
6) The next battle will start, and it will be a new challene for both gladiators, due to the balance system. The first player who kills 13 gladiators win!
Balances:
--The loser takes more gold to equip himself.
--Gladiators may not have a level difference greater then 2. Max level is 7.
--The stew replanishes a limited amount of heal and mana.
--Gladiators share some abilities, so there is a balance.
--No gladiator can be too overpowered, you will notice that.
Tips:
--Just tipe -tips in game!
Note that the map is intended to be a bit 'plain' and not too complicated.
The map is 1v1 and has a small size, so its easy to play with a friend, or host it online. It takes from 20 to 50 minutes for someone to reach 13 kills.

Hmm,you should put more player slots in it, since it will be really boring if we only fight just one opponement.
WHY SHOULD IT HAVE MORE PLAYER??
Because rather then just fighting you can also create a relationship between your teammates to beat the enemy.
Battlenet is also a place where we can sosialize with many friends right????
Not just fighting the same enemy over time???
Sosializing with the enemy to beat each other is just not right!
And before you told me this, i don't have any idea to enter the arena.That's why i can't rate how good this map.
