General Question for an Idea: Models or Gameplay

Hopefully the right place to post...!

I've gone through a lot map ideas and somewhat already acomplished some, but I've always wanted to make a Naruto map. I've seen a lot of Naruto maps before and honestly, most of them can't compete with or fall in the line of a "really good professional map". I want to avoid this kind of map, and I know that I can clearly break away from bad icons, bad grammar and bad skills and just low-quality things in general (i.e. sounds). However, the key thing to any Naruto map has always been 1 thing and that is where my question falls under.
Now the main and big general question I have:

Would you play a Naruto map if it did not use/have Naruto Models?

It's true, a Naruto map isn't much of a Naruto map if it didn't have models. The whole feel to Naruto and ninjas is gone without it. Even if the quality of the models aren't the best, I can tell that most people would simply not play the map just for the fact that it doesn't have them.
However, my real question is...

If there was a Naruto map without Naruto Models, but superb and awesome gameplay and design (quality spells, icons, effects, sounds and just good gameplay in general), would it be good, even without the models? Would you play it?

So it comes down to, Superb Gameplay or the whole Graphical Feel to what its based off of?
Yeah... so simply put, if I didn't use the models, but made like gameplay and better icons and spells than any other (or most) Naruto maps out there, would it be worth my time? Or does a Naruto map have to have it?
So far, the only other thing I came to because I'm not a fan of the Naruto Models (though the Shippuuden ones are a lot better than the first), was skinning current warcraft models that would suit the characteristics for the characters into their character's respective colours. It looks actually decent in some cases, but would that be good enough, or would you still prefer complete new models in general?

Just to show what you could expect from me (like it or not), the attached imaged is an example of how I would interpret Rasengan rather than just a small ball pushing a target enemy unit back. Note that this is just an example, not what I actually intend to do, as it is still far from accurate representation of the real jutsu. Also, take note the target in the picuture is being pushed back, not being shot with some kind of energy blast... that's why theres some leftover effects that trail towards it. I mainly just tried to incoporate the whole spiraling thing. Next step might even lead to a rotating target... but we'll see.

So, hopefully you read it all if you intend to voice your opinion. I know it's quite a bit to read, I apologize, but I had a lot to say. So don't be afraid to voice an opinion. Thanks in advance!

Machanical Man, Super-Sheep, how old are you??? Cuz if you are above age of 13, you would have at least some reasoning in you. People here are always saying how Naruto fans suck ass, but can't you see that all of you Naruto haters are much worse than them with all your KILL NARUTO pettitions and other shit!!! I for once think that Zero-Blader made exellent presentation of his Naruto map, and that it may prove to be much better than others. The image you attached is very good presentation of your spell, and i believe that if you ever finish your map it would be pretty good!!!
Zero-Blader, it is truth that models make Naruto maps feel more Naruto-like, but I will play your map, regardless of weather it has or has none of Naruto models, cuz it's not the models that make map awesome.

Best of luck!!!

I don't like Naruto, which is why I agree with M.M. I don't like the idea that a kid who talks too much, likes to say "BELIEVE IT", and wears an orange jumpsuit thinks he has what it takes to become a Ninja. In my opinion, Ninjas should be bad-ass, not annoying. Dark clothing to help blend in with the night sky, incredible (yet realistic) strength and agility... Even the Mortal Kombat Ninjas are realistic compared to Naruto.

Edit: But don't let our opinions stop you from making a map. A map is a map, and I'll judge it for the way it's made and such, not by what it's based on. Some people like Naruto, some don't. I don't. But that's an OPINION.

Edit2: [Ontopic] Generally, gameplay builds the bulk of a map. I have yet to see an enjoyable, non-rigged and balanced Naruto map. Afterwards comes neat triggering and no memory leaks. Memory leaks cause pathetic computers (not mine, mine is awesome) to crash and burn. Next comes terrain. GOOD terrain is realistic, and doesn't use Blizzard cliffs, as they call them. You need height variation, tile variation, and logical doodad placement. THIS is where you see how much space you have left and what models you want to put in.

Honestly, I don't play a lot of Naruto Maps because they ARE Naruto Maps

This is the way I feel about it...

You can base the combat off naruto... And put a few models in there so people can play as them...
But don't call a map "NARUTO'S AWAKENING" or anything like it...
-Call it something more liek "Hero Brawlzzz" and give people the option to play as naruto or any model they want...

Ever hear of custom hero games? This is how I think ever game should be...
-I actually have a system on my computer that gives people the ability to choose which attributes to upgrade in a very convienient manner (But I don't know how to set it up)

I will say this though....

Naruto has very interesting battles (after watching the Tv series a few times)
-I'm thinking the shadow expert and how he used Tunnels and shuriken with parachutes to extend his shadow and I like how naruto is kind of interesting and raw... and that one dude who isn't good at anything except hand to hand combat

Naruto actually gives me a lot of ideas on how to do things
-Use creep As shadows
-Naruto is obvious
-Make the Hand to hand combat person need to use quick button reflexes and the ability to time things well

But yeah...
You don't need to call a map "Naruto" but you can base the entire map off it...

Don't make your map naruto, thread creator, take a different idea and leave everything in your map as it was. And also change names. Sorry, but narortu is that way confusing that it's being over-confusing and, actually, kinda retarded. wtf, narortu is for kids who like flashing screens and cool images. OMG I have almost made 200 posts! I have 199!! (sorry :/ )
