Game Interface Values stay Default

Perhaps you imported a file such as war3mapMisc.txt or war3mapSkin.txt?
Those textfiles override the values you set in the editor.

yes i do have a war3mapSkin.txt file.(it caused fatal errors when used incorrectly)
can i rewrite the code for the text using the imported file, or what other solution can i take?

also, what other complications can come from this file being in my map?

EVERYTHING you can do in Game Interface, you can do with the text-file ( + a lot more).
So I always use that text-file instead of the Game Interface.

The best option is to extract the war3mapSkin.txt from your map and add the values you want.
If you don't know how to do it, I made a complete list of it a while back, I'll attach it to this post.
