[Solved] Game and Editor's Not Launching

Basically, I go to launch either the World Editor or Warcraft 3, but then it runs in the Background Processes of the task manager and no window pop up.

I recently did both an update to patch 1.30 (with hotfixes) and for java on my computer, and it was running before the java update.
I'm on a windows 8 operating system.

Does anyone know what's going on?

Try restarting your computer (not shutdown). This rules out a driver problem.

If that did not help then reinstall the game using the online downloader. This should deliver you an already patched install of the game which might fix anything that broke during update migrations.

If that did not help then try deleting all Warcraft III game settings from the registry. Next time Warcraft III is started it should automatically rebuild them with default values.
