CHANGELOG (v1.2B (14)):My extension file isn't working, i play the game and there isn't an intro, i opened the game with admin's rights, i added the registry file and followed the steps, do you guys know what i did wrong?
isn't work ._.Hmmm that's odd, perhaps try creating a folder called CustomMapData and place the files inside that
wow! how stupid of me lol. I did what you said, and it worked now. When i purchased the game, it transformed most of the files in documents "Warcraft III" and I thought that will be the main directory!!!Remember that the files must be placed in Warcraft III/CustomMapData/GaiasRetaliation in your WC3 root directory! It won't work with the files into documents parts of Warcraft!
Are you using a merc?wow! how stupid of me lol. I did what you said, and it worked now. When i purchased the game, it transformed most of the files in documents "Warcraft III" and I thought that will be the main directory!!!
Anyway, thanks and i hope you get rewarded for your efforts of doing this map... not that i am sure how it happens though...
And i noticed that the game is very very hard in single player. You might need to be lvl 20 at least to kill the wolf and crab bosses..
It doesn't matter, because this map is one of the best! Good luck
yes, i am. Fortunately, i hosted a map by MMH and found two players!! we played, and it seemed so very easy to do in groups instead of single player. And now i'm already lvl 17 squire. I was so sad when i heard that the maximum level is 50 and you can transform only once. Are you using a merc?
Yes please, I can't open the link.can someone reupload this on something different than mega? Mega links dont work for some ppl
Thanks dude.uploaded the package to google drive:
GaiasRetaliation.zip
For Reforged:Does the extension pack work anymore? Cant find registry anymore since Reforged changed things around (folders are not the same).
I placed "CustomMapData" to "_retail_" folder instead.
How to enable local files? On Windows, you will have to make a registry key at locationHKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III
, with type DWORD and nameAllow Local Files
, and set its value to 1. An easier way to do this is to open the .reg file attached in a zip archive below this tutorial and accept all popups that get opened because of it.
Alternatively, run this command:reg add "HKCU\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III" /v "Allow Local Files" /t REG_DWORD /d 1
On Mac, the terminal command to enable local files isdefaults write "com.blizzard.Warcraft III" "Allow Local Files" -int 1
(ReplaceWarcraft III
withWarcraft III Public Test
if you're trying to do this for PTR)
Since 1.32.7, the game root is a subfolder located inside the install directory, with the name of_retail_
for the retail flavour of the game and_ptr_
for the ptr flavour. As you are more likely to be playing on the retail flavour of the game, the example of a game root for 1.32.7+ isC:/Program Files/Warcraft III/_retail_
