Story:
Forsaken Island is shrouded in rumors. It is said that those who step foot on it are doomed to a grusome death, though no one has ever lived to tell of the cause. The only thing that can be found on the main Island are ancient ruins... From how long ago, no one knows.
Now, your Ship has crashed on the Island and you share the fate of the many souls lost before you, can you overcome what others could not, or will you perish as they did?
Concept:
A group of players will fight off waves of increasingly harder Forsaken Creatures. Each player will control a Hero, chosen from 3 begining Heroes. As the game progresses, heros will begin to be more diverse.
Gameplay:
Up to 10 players will begin the map with a Crew Member. This unit cannot attack and is invulnerable, but has the ability to become a Different Class upon starting the game -
Crew Members Classes:
1.) Engineer - Builds defenses and other structures to protect from the onslaught of enemies.
2.) Worker - Gathers resources for the Engineer to use.
3.) Defender - The Defender helps protect the Enginner and Worker from attackers and should be the most common unit.
Blacksmith - Creates Items for heroes. The Blacksmith retains all abilities the Worker Had. (Basic Lumbering and Mining)
Warrior - A Strength Based Hero that focuses on taking the majority of damage and protects weaker allies.
Swordsman - A Strength based hero that focuses on balancing between Damage and Tanking.
Caster - An Intelligence based Hero that supports others on the battlefield by dealing area damage and healing allies; although very powerful and vital, casters have extremely low hp however.
Spearman - An Agility based hero that is also quite strong; He focuses on dealing damage quickly from a short range compared to the Archer's long range.
Note: After these 5 heros reach a certain level, they will also be able to become a more powerful Hero; each with their own stats and abilities.
Ex.A Caster can become a Priest or Mage and each of those have more options at a higher level.
After Tier 5 Heroes will no longer become a new hero.
So Here's an example Hero Tree (one of Many):
Defender --> Caster --> Mage --> Dark Mage --> Dark Sorceror
Features:
*In this map, Heroes automatically obtain abilities depending on their class and level, and all heroes have their own special abilites, though some abilities are shared. Abilites will also automatically level up depending on the level of the Hero.
*The Map features A unique Item System for building structures. Engineers use Building Materials gathered by Workers to construct structures to defend from enemies.
*Diverse Heroes make the map able to have endless strategies for replayability.
*Teamwork is essential to survival.
*Enemies spawn according to the number of players in the game to make the game more fair for less people.
Additional Info:
Thats basically all for now; the map is currently in production and should hopefully be in testing stages by mid March, maybe sooner or perhaps even later, just depends.
I will add screen shots when I can and will also post the full Hero classes and subclasses list.
Any comments you have will be appreciated!
