Hi everyone!

I've got a little problem. I were looking for a good model of demonic acolyte but I haven't found any so I made one myself. Also I've added to it custom texture modified by me.

That's how I TRIED to make it work:

1) I've exported acolyte texture.
2) I've edited it with GIMP 2
3) Import texture to War3 Model Editor
4) Changed material to use another texture
5) Modified demonic rune that appears above acolyte while he is working
6) After doing everything above it looks like this:

occultist.png

occultistwork.png

7) I've saved model and closed model editor...
8) When I open saved model once again it looks like this:

occultistbug.png

What I've done wrong? Custom texture is still in model but it can not be opened...

Please help...

Try to open the MDL in notepad or wordpad, I prefer the latter, search for 'Textures/White.blp'

Change this to any other path, for example: DemonicAcolyte.Blp

Save the MDL, convert it to MDX, import the model into the WE, import the texture, change the texture path to your path, then save the test map, exit and then open the WE again and see if it works. I'm not sure if it's gonna work, but it works for me when I encounter similiar problems.

I prefer adding textures through wordpad...
