Hi, I want to implement different playable terrains in my map.
I dont like the solution of trolls vs elves where you alwys can see the other terrains.
But using the camera bounds does not zoom the minimap correctly,
so here is my approach of faking a minimap:

I use dummys >200 dummys with modified goldmine icons etc....

Now I want to hear your ideas and your opinion on this.

His map has multiple playable terrains. That means one is picked, the camera bounds are reduced to it and the minimap should be adjusted according to the new bounds.

The problem is that the background of a minimap is static, therefore won't be scaled dynamically ingame. There are few things that get scaled: blight, fog of war, units, heroes, neutral buildings, pings. So what he does now is practically emulating the terrain display by placing dummy units with appropriate colors.
